Rudy or Sol / Stella or Nancy

We're days away now from welcoming our third and just can't fix on a final name for our surprise gender baby. Which would you choose for a boy/girl?!

Rudy and Nancy! Love both of these :)

Like both boy names but really dislike both girl names!

I don’t like either boys names but I do like Stella for a girl.

I wouldn't go for Rudy, it's open to too much teasing once in school. Sol, named for the Sun is good.
Nancy's OK for a girl... not sure about Stella, just reminds me of Stella larger..,
How about Sol (Sun) for the boy and Seren (Welsh for star) for a girl?
You could build up a full constellation.

Sol and Stella but only if your surname is Beer.

Seren is nice, as a pp suggested.

I like Sol, it just feels like it might be short for something , so you might get people asking what it’s short for a lot. I prefer it from your boys choices though.
Rudy I also like but wouldn’t use because of the potential for shortening to Rude.

Stella I like but you might get some beer related jokes.
Nancy is nice, I’d pick that.

Sol is also a beer 🍺 🤣

Issue with Nancy is that it may have a bit of a moment due to Stranger Things- people don’t choose names in a cultural vacuum and the name currently has positive associations because of the show, so more people will subconsciously like it and consider it as a name they could use now.

I’m not usually one to say a person needs a ‘full name’ but I do find Sol a bit too short, I love it though - Solomon is a really cool name?

I really like Rudy too, and Stella.

I’ve never really liked Nancy but it seems really popular on here, so all great choices.

I like Solomon too. Sol makes me think of beer or Sol ( Sulzeer Jeremiah) Campbell.

I like them all except Rudy.

I adore Stella. I have my own and she gets nothing but compliments on her name.

I love Stella and I like Sol. I don't like the other two, especially not Rudy.

You usually only get compliments on your children's name. It's small talk.

Rudy is really bad, sorry. It sounds like a Rude-y! People call farts Rudeys. Is Rude really an acceptable nickname???
