We are struggling to find first name for our baby boy we set on the middle name is George and our surname is Day I kinda want a unique first name, but I don’t know if that would go with her having such a traditional middle name. Need some help.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Like I say, I think you can overthink names! Barnaby/Barney Day is fine

ArtTheClownIsNotAMime · 19/01/2026 18:44

Bee Day
Whatta Day
Fry Day
Independence Day
Boxing Day

All unique.

HugoYorway · 19/01/2026 18:44

Christmas Day!

Christmas Day!

International Women's Day is more unique.

@NuffSaidSam I read Onion instead of Orion 😅

Gosh calling a child that, would bring tears to my eyes!

BellaVida · 19/01/2026 19:03

I like Barnaby. I think the 3 syllables balances out the shorter middle name and surname.

I also thought of:
Alistair
Sebastian
Rafferty
Sullivan
Wilfred
Phineas

Someone suggested Samuel, Daniel and Benjamin. Dan Day sounds like an annual he might get from Father Christmas. Ben Day - Bendy or Bin Day. Sam Day - delivery?

Sam Day my prince will come?

Sonny
Knighton
Jay
Ray
Sergei
Darren
Saint
Bert

Forget about the middle name and focus on a first name that goes with the surname. Middle names hardly ever get used.

Watch the initial.
D Day is OK, B Day isn't.

I read all those names out loud. Knighton Day🤣.

OP I hope you find a lovely name for your little one. Biblical names have lots of under used options. Or names from Europe Cornelius or Matthias, Milo.

ASuitableName · 19/01/2026 20:26

Dashiell Day
Augustus Day
Lysander Day
Jonathan Day
Angus Day

.......not unique, but certainly unusual.

HugoYorway · 19/01/2026 20:50

@PatriciaRocks , Raymond Day would be Ray Day.

User0311 · 19/01/2026 20:57

If I had another boy I would call him Leonard (Lennie for short)

Alwyn. Alwyn George Day sounds great - strong and individual.

This post isn't getting near as much appreciation as it deserves. Spectacularly unhelpful to poor OP but really funny 🤣

But with the initial possibly less so.

B Day?

(Bidet for those at the back)
