Emily Jane, Emily Rose or Emily Elizabeth?

We chose Emily because it’s classic and simple and would like a timless middle name to go with it and we’re choosing between these. I know You can’t really go wrong with any of them but I’d appreciate your thoughts.

Ilike Emily Jane and Emily Elizabeth but Emily Rose was very common about 20 years ago and doesn’t feel timeless to me, it has a very obvious peak around 2000-2006. The other two are genuinely very classy and could be an 80 year old or 5 year old. I’d go with Emily Jane

Emily Jane is my favourite. I’ve always thought Emily rose sounds extremely twee and unsubstantial and it surprises me how people it has been the past 25 years. Emily Elizabeth is nice too but very long.

I'd suggest Emily Rose.

Emily Elizabeth is too much of a mouthful.

And no to Emily Jane as Jane is a dull name. (IMO.)

Emily Elizabeth doesn't scan at all. Too long and really doesn't sound nice off the tongue. Emily Rose sounds nice albeit a bit common (as in commonplace not class). Emily Jane would be my second choice

Wasn't there a film called the exorcism of Emily Rose? Not that one. Both the others are nice.

I know 3 Emily Roses - it’s an extremely common name combo!

I hope you have a rare surname if you choose such common first names (to avoid identity fraud & confusion)

Emily Elizabeth. it's the most unusual combination albeit classic names. The other two are a bit meh.

They're all really nice, but I think Emily Rose is the prettiest.

They're filler middle names. Rose seems to be overused, I know many adult women with the middle name Jane, and Elizabeth doesn't flow.

Pick another name.

As the mother of a Rose, I will say that if you go for Rose as a middle name, you will be sharing it with seemingly 99% of other little girls 🤣 My daughter is told by every little girl she meets that their middle name is the same as her first name 🤣 So while beautiful (obviously, I love it, hence why I used it as a first name!), it isn't very original. Which isn't an issue of course, but just thought worth mentioning!

There are plenty of classic names which aren't the "usual fillers". Or classic but slightly less used.

I wouldn't call many of those classic. Emily Iona doesn't flow.

Emily Elizabeth is my favourite, I think the alliteration is very pretty.

Emily Jane is nice enough but not as pretty sounding.

Emily Rose makes me think of the horror movie and I’ve gone off Rose as a middle name because it’s so overused.

Rose is so dull as a middle name, it’s every girl’s name (along with Grace and May).

I think a 3 syllable (or more) first name is better followed by a shorter second name
(IMHO)

Every female from my era had Jane or Louise as a middle name. Don't do it!
