Emily Jane, Emily Rose or Emily Elizabeth?

We chose Emily because it’s classic and simple and would like a timless middle name to go with it and we’re choosing between these. I know You can’t really go wrong with any of them but I’d appreciate your thoughts.

thank you

I think Elizabeth Jane or Elizabeth Rose sound better

Lisanne55 · 15/12/2025 22:36

Emily Rose was very common at one point. Jane is quite a boring name so I'd go for Emily Elizabeth. I also like Emily Anne - we had that in mind for a girl at one point. You could also consider Emily Eliza or Emily Elsie.

Emily Jane- that was Emily Bronte’s name.
Emily Rose- terrifying horror movie
Elizabeth Emily flows better than Emily Elizabeth.

Emily Jane is the winner.

Xcxcxcxc · 15/12/2025 23:11

Emily Rose.
Emily Jane.
Emily Elizabeth is too clunky.

Pettenell · 15/12/2025 23:47

Emily Jane is my favourite.

Jamclag · 15/12/2025 23:56

All nice enough but Emily Jane is the more interesting of your options.

I prefer Rose Emily or Rose Elizabeth if being honest though.

Giraffehaver · 15/12/2025 23:56

Emily Jane. Classic

Fernsrus · 15/12/2025 23:56

Emily Jane

LivingTheDreamish · 16/12/2025 02:08

Emily Elizabeth.

Emily Rose is a bit predictable and Emily Jane is a bit too Bronte.

Jk987 · 16/12/2025 02:13

Emily Elizabeth is lovely

Octopus45 · 16/12/2025 02:19

My ex had a Sister called Emily Elizabeth, it’s nice. How about Emily Victoria?

mathanxiety · 16/12/2025 04:01

I'm not really keen on any of them.

I'd suggest
Emily Eloise
Emily Charlotte
Emily Sophia
Emily Madeleine
Emily Eleanore
Emily Elspeth

MidnightScroller · 16/12/2025 05:16

Emily Anne
Emily Clare/Claire
Emily Pearl
Emily Wren
Emily Sue
Emily Paige
Emily Scout
Emily Reese?

Not wowed by the current options sorry!

lifeisgoodrightnow · 16/12/2025 05:21

Emily Cordelia

lifeisgoodrightnow · 16/12/2025 05:21

Emily Cordelia

Cordelia Emily is even nicer imo

purpleme12 · 16/12/2025 07:57

Not a fan of Elizabeth
So either of the others

RosesAndHellebores · 16/12/2025 08:02

Emily Jane is lovely. I am 65. There was always an Emma-Jane or Sarah-Jane in my year. Always known as EJ or SJ.

Lovely and due a come back.

zebrastripesarefun · 16/12/2025 08:09

Emily Rose is my favourite. They are all beautiful names

Bbq1 · 16/12/2025 08:58

Emily Anne

everdine · 16/12/2025 09:01

Emily Rose is the prettiest. Emily is a lovely name!

Zov · 16/12/2025 09:09

CoffeeBeansGalore · 15/12/2025 17:13

There are plenty of classic names which aren't the "usual fillers". Or classic but slightly less used.

Emily Charlotte
Emily Adrienne
Emily Guinevere
Emily Celeste
Emily Clarisse
Emily Rachael
Emily Christianne
Emily Philippa
Emily Iona

Sorry, but the majority of those sound terrible! 😬

Especially

Emily Adrienne
Emily Guinevere
Emily Christianne
Emily Philippa

I think a one syllable name suits Emily best (as a middle name.)

TappyGilmore · 16/12/2025 09:09

Emily Jane and Emily Rose both sound nice, although not overly original. Emily Elizabeth would be a no from me - it just doesn’t flow at all.

fairycupcakes · 16/12/2025 09:14

The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

So for that reason alone, either of the others!

theunbreakablecleopatrajones · 16/12/2025 11:27

Emily Eliza
Emily Elsbeth
Emily Jean
Emily Rosanna
Emily Rosalind

They are all nice names individually but Emily Elizabeth doesn't scan well, Emily Jane sounds like a name for a tiny tears doll, and Emily Rose, as PP's say, has been very overdone.
