Do you think these names clash? I’ve recently been thinking about it but just noticed how similar it is to DS’s name

Perfect.Ive got a Nathan so good choice there.

GreyCloudsLooming · 20/11/2025 14:58

They don’t clash but they are very similar and matchy. I’d go for something else.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 20/11/2025 15:06

On a recent thread about a brother for Nina, a couple of people suggested Nathan.

QueenClinomania · 20/11/2025 15:06

They're fine.

PegDope · 20/11/2025 15:09

Too similar IMO.

A lot of a’s and n’s.

Try saying Naomi and Nathan out loud, it’s a mouthful.

RaininSummer · 20/11/2025 15:18

I don't see the issue tbh.

baddecisionsmakegreatcompany · 20/11/2025 15:22

they are both lovely names and go well together

Purplestarballoon · 20/11/2025 15:23

Love them together. Great choices

sunshine47 · 20/11/2025 16:43

Nathan and Natasha

IwishIhadcheese · 20/11/2025 16:46

Not keen. How about Leonie instead of Naomi?

RecordBreakers · 20/11/2025 16:51

That are both nice names, but I wouldn't give them to siblings. Too similar - for example when you are calling one of them from downstairs and they are in their bedrooms.
I'd always go for different initials for siblings for all the times you are just jotting down initial letter for all sorts of reasons, plus post, plus things you have with their initial on them etc.

Moreteaandchocolate · 20/11/2025 17:46

Lovely! I know siblings with much more similar names

user90276865197 · 20/11/2025 17:47

I know siblings with exactly those names. Both lovely kids.

DeQuin · 20/11/2025 17:48

All good in my world. I would make a face at Philip and Philippa (I know sibs of that name) or David and Davina or (you get the picture). But those are both good names.

Lavenderandbrown · 20/11/2025 17:49

Lovely I have a Lauren and Owen so I’m fond of alliteration. But as @sunshine47 posted Natasha is quite lovely too

HugoYorway · 20/11/2025 18:52

Nay, nay...

MostlyGhostly · 20/11/2025 20:35

I like both names and wouldn’t think twice if I was introduced to siblings with these names

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 20/11/2025 20:40

I knew a brother and sister who were Naomi and Nathan 20-odd years ago. There were lovely; don't sweat it xx

Phillip and Philippa! 😂

Pip and Pippa for short!

CreepingCrone · 20/11/2025 21:28

My niece and nephew are Naomi & Nathan

I used to know a sibling pair called,Charles and Charlotte. They both went by Charlie.

Naomi and Nathan are fine. Although I personally prefer family members all having different initials, but I know a lot of people don’t mind.

RoseDog · 20/11/2025 21:33

I like Naomi and Nathan, my dc are Aimee and Nathan

Mandarinaduck · 20/11/2025 21:51

Both lovely names but a little bit too similar for me.

Looperoo · 21/11/2025 16:33

I think it's fine.
Have the name you like. I don't think siblings names matter either way, whether they go together, whether they dont or whether they are too similar. FWIW I don't think they are too similar.

DramaAlpaca · 21/11/2025 16:40

I like them together.
