Which to go for!?

Other suggestions welcome too… We already have a Poppy! Love the name Clover, but would never be brave enough.

Love both but Freya.

Also throwing Willow into the ring!

Idontknowhatnametochoose · 30/10/2025 21:03

Alice.

fruitypancake · 30/10/2025 21:07

Also love both but Alice is the front runner

Sholderpad · 30/10/2025 21:07

Alice. I've never been keen on Freya though.

hyggetyggedotorg · 30/10/2025 21:09

Freya.

Alice is extremely dull compared to Poppy.

Zov · 30/10/2025 21:11

Would have to be Willow, or Lily, or Rose.

Alice just makes me think of 'Alice, Alice, who the fuck is Alice?!'

Not keen on Freya at all.

OSTMusTisNT · 30/10/2025 21:12

Alice, not keen on Freya.

Also can be different pronunciations of Fray-ya Free-ya which would bug me.

Makingpeace · 30/10/2025 21:15

Not keen on Freya. Love Clover!

How about...

Fern (or Fearne)
Willow
Ivy
Rowan
And a little bit more out there but just because I love it - Story.

ImSorryWhatDidYouSay · 30/10/2025 21:27

Freya - From Old Norse Freyja meaning "lady". This is the name of a goddess associated with love, beauty, war and death in Norse mythology.

Nothing quite as exciting for Alice I’m afraid?!

HollyGolightly4 · 30/10/2025 21:27

Freya 💕

Moreteaandchocolate · 30/10/2025 21:35

Alice is one of my favourite names, so that would be my pick. I do love Freya with Poppy though.

HarlequinHare · 30/10/2025 21:36

Alice

AgentPidge · 30/10/2025 21:37

I'm not keen on Alice and prefer Freya, although it feels slightly dated to me - lots of similar (Ingrids, Karens etc) when I was at school and a few Freyas when my DC were, back in the 90s and 00s. I really like Rowan.

Rach247 · 30/10/2025 21:38

Alice, but I don’t think Clover requires a lot of bravery.

HelterSkelter224 · 30/10/2025 21:40

Alice is lovely. So many Freyas at the minute

HugoYorway · 30/10/2025 21:45

Alice by a million miles. Freya is so overused it's frayed.

fairycupcakes · 30/10/2025 22:12

Freya! I adore Freya. Alice is pretty but does feel quite boring next to Poppy.

I prefer Alice, of the two. I don't dislike Freya but it seems to have lost some charm in recent years, due to overuse.

LolaBumble · 30/10/2025 22:23

Ooh wow thank you for all the comments! Alice has gone down better than I expected, a real split! I probably prefer Alice, but worried it could be a bit boring, I think it’s such a pretty name though.

Love love love the name Alice but my OH vetoed it! I always hesitate before I say the name Freya, I dont know why. It just doesn't flow for me.

JH0404 · 30/10/2025 22:32

Alice

user2848502016 · 30/10/2025 22:33

Alice Clover

Traytors · 30/10/2025 22:34

I think Alice (or Alys).

Much prefer it to Freya, which is a lovely name but massively overused here. We know several, all my dc have a Freya or 2 in their friendship circles. A name that ubiquitous just loses its sparkle a bit for me.

HugoYorway · 30/10/2025 22:34

@LolaBumble , I think Poppy is a lovely name.

No to Alys. It just looks wrong.

Tralalalama · 30/10/2025 22:35

Love Clover. Don’t think it’s mad unusual, becoming more popular, go for it
