Stuck between Oscar and Sebastian… which do you prefer and why?

My Husband and I are expecting a baby boy in April and we’ve narrowed it down to two names we really love: Oscar and Sebastian

We’re completely torn. I’d love to hear what vibes each name gives you, and which one you think fits better with our last name (Diesel)

Sebastian goes much better with your (characterful!) surname

Between the two - I prefer Oscar.

Sebastian always sounds like bastard in my head.

I dislike Sebastian as it always reminds me of Bastard. Sorry but it does.

Sebastian reminds me of sebaceous (oily) and Bastard, and I particularly dislike Seb and Basty!

Oscar is better but a little overused.

There are SO many lovely names outside the top 100 to choose from!

Sebastian Diesel is a great name! Seb is cute and not try hard. Oscar is also a lovely name.
Both are really popular here.
