My name has a male and female variant
It was number 36 the year I was given it
It was acceptable in the 80s
It's a bit French
It's also a little bit Essex
Most people shorten it

Mine used to be typically irish surname. Can be more common as a boys name in other countries. I was one of 3 girls with my name at school in the early 90s. Commonly goes with Anne as a middle name. Was the name of a tv soap character in the late 70s when i was born.

wizzler · 14/10/2025 20:35

My name is very short, not much more than an initial really. You never ever meet anyone called this who is younger than 55

Dawnintheageofaquariams · 14/10/2025 20:29

My parents are both from a village in Yorkshire.
Met as teens, together still.
Mum was a teacher, Dad had an agricultural machinery business.
My eldest brother has the middle name Branwell.
