We both love the name Trinity but DH is a little concerned that it's a 'chavvy' name. I said that I didn't think it was but that I would ask you all if you think it is or not!!

Is it??

I don't think so, but I am very traditional with names so would probably choose Anna

There is a lovely Trinity in our school. Family not the slightest bit chavvy.

God, yes.

However if you both love it go for it. You shouldn't give a monkey's about anyone's opinion.
Ds2 has a name that everyone hated apart from us.

Hugely chavtastic imo but that is just my opinion

rolledhedgehog · 04/06/2008 13:56

Around here I would think it would be a bit Chav.

SixSpotBurnet · 04/06/2008 13:57

If you like it, go for it. DS3's name is regarded as "chavvy" in some quarters but I still love it.

I do like it, btw. Infinitely preferable to Anna which in my mind ranks very high in the "dull, dull, dull" bracket.

Thankyouandgoodnight · 04/06/2008 13:59

Where do all you chav voters live???

Perhaps if we avoided your neck of the woods...unless we're in it of course

If you both love it (i think its lovely btw) then go for it, i wouldnt worry what anybody else thinks, the whole 'too chavvy' thing gets on my tits anyway, each to their own.

frogs · 04/06/2008 14:01

I like Anna and don't like Trinity. But am probably dull.

SSB's ds3 is not chavvy at all, he is gorgeous!

sitdownpleasegeorge · 04/06/2008 14:02

Are you Catholic or deeply religious in any way ?

It's unusual and I can't say I know of any girsl with this name where I live so I don't think that the chavs have got their hands on it yet.

It's always a gamble isn't it, using an unusual anme and hoping that it doesn't become the next "Tracey" or "Tiffany" in 10 years time.

A friend was going to use it years ago but didn't and it's sort of stuck in my head all this time and DH likes but he is worried that he only likes it because he likes the Matrix as that's the only time he himself has come across the name.

I personally don't think that's an issue and it will stop being matrixy for him if we did use it.

HonoriaGlossop · 04/06/2008 14:10

Yes round here it would be totally chavvy I'm afraid.

SixSpotBurnet · 04/06/2008 14:10

Thanks frogs!

I haven't come across any girls called Trinity, curiously.

dizzydixies · 04/06/2008 14:10

can't decide on Trinity at all

have you considered Verity - similar kind of thing

But why? As in Matrix or as in Holy?

Why would you call your child Threesome?!

KaSo · 04/06/2008 14:12

It's a gorgeous name, but I'd be very worried that it was chavvy as I've heard a few travellers use it.

Thankyouandgoodnight · 04/06/2008 14:12

I don't see Verity as similar at all I must confess!

TheBestMum · 04/06/2008 14:13
