Lottie Louise is by far the nicest.

OneNeatBlueOrca · 18/08/2025 19:47

I'm gonna say I don't like most of them. Especially the Lottie name combinations. I think you should remember you are naming a person who's going to turn into an adult. lottie louise and marnie mae especially work well on young children but not really much older.

Can you not name her Charlotte but always call her Lottie so she has the choice in adulthood. All of those middle names work really well with Charlotte.

I don't like Marnie as it makes me think sarnie.

Norastroud · 18/08/2025 19:50

my favourite is Marnie Louise, followed by Lottie Amelia - lovely names, goodluck!

ToKittyornottoKitty · 18/08/2025 19:51

Lottie Louise and Marnie Mae are by far the worst!

MsSmartShoes · 18/08/2025 19:52

Marnie Louisa

Radiowaawaa · 18/08/2025 19:53

Marnie Raine is gorgeous. I love most of them. Not so keen on Mae or Louise as middle names as they feel quite middle name ish, stuck there just because (I know what I mean!).

TheRookieMum · 18/08/2025 19:54

I never comment on these threads and I LOVE the name Lottie... But don't name someone Lottie Raine. It sounds like "A Lot Of Rain" and she'll never hear the end of it...

Lottie Amelia over Lottie Louise, very slightly, but both lovely. Not a fan of Marnie so for me that's out.

StrokeRecovery25 · 18/08/2025 19:55

Lottie (but I agree I'd go with Charlotte on her Bc- gives her options)

charlotte or Lottie Amelia

( Lottie Louise is too 'mouthy')

Lottie Raine - nope! ( Lot of rain)

im not keen on Marnie personally, but Marnie Louise out of your options,

Minecroft · 18/08/2025 19:55

any of the marnie ones

fruitbrewhaha · 18/08/2025 19:57

Charlotte Louise
Charlotte Raine.

JLH2B26 · 18/08/2025 19:58

The meaning of Louise is because that’s my middle name and Raine as my mums name is Lorraine was was a nickname instead of Lorraine x

Mine too. I never did care for it. But if you like it then great 😃

Firsttimebabymummy · 18/08/2025 20:03

I like Lottie Louise.

Lottie Loo!
I'd go Charlotte Louise on BC.

So are you using the second name as a middle name, or is it a double barrelled first name?

JLH2B26 · 18/08/2025 20:08

@ToKittyornottoKitty it would be a middle name

Sparklesandspandexgallore · 18/08/2025 20:08

Marnie Louise.

17caterpillars1mouse · 18/08/2025 20:09

Lottie Amelia

Marnie is nicer IMO
Raine is sweet as a nod to your mum

So Marnie Raine gets my vote! X

I'llBuyThatForADollar · 18/08/2025 20:43

Marnie Mae is lovely

TheDonsDingleberries · 18/08/2025 20:47

Lottie Amelia or Marnie Raine (I like the link to your mum's name)

NormaSears · 18/08/2025 21:22

Lottie Louise - yes
Lottie Raine - a lot of rain
Lottie Amelia - ok. Not keen on Amelia and watch the initials.
or
Marnie Mae - Mae is awful
Marnie Louise - ok
Marnie Raine - ok

I'd use Lotta nn Lottie as the first name, middle name Rosie.

Avocadohoho · 18/08/2025 21:37

Marnie Mae is terrible. It’s not a grown up name and May/Mae/Mai is soooooo overdone as a middle name. Over it.

I like Lottie Raine or Amelia.

fairycupcakes · 18/08/2025 21:46

I think it’s lovely when middle names have a special meaning so for that reason I think Raine is a lovely nod to your mum’s first name.

I think Lottie is such a sweet name but as a PP said she will grow up into an adult so perhaps give her Charlotte on the BC so she has that option to use when she is grown up and applying for jobs etc!

Charlotte Raine ☺️

Couldn’t agree with you more about “Mae”. It’s just everywhere and become a huge cliche.

Not a huge fan of Marnie and agree that Lottie is cute but a child’s name so Charlotte on the BC gives much more flexibility.

Charlotte Lorraine? Then she has actual names that can be abbreviated?
But I'm big on traditional names spelt as they should be.
I have a sibling called Lorraine.
