…just out of curiosity and because I’m still in thinking of names for my daughter due soon. Thanks

I know two
Thea and Silvia

These are all beautiful names so far but it also seems clear that my generation of names are well and truly over 😂 The only name I recognise from school days is Charlotte! Not more Sarah’s, Alice’s, Ruth’s, and Emma’s. Or the ‘modern’ names of the time; Stacy, Lisa, Jess etc

I know a 2 year old Jessica but also know many girls who have been born in the last 2 years since then so my answer obviously wasn't that 😅. The Alice in my family is 9 or 10 now.

Isn’t that a clothes company?

It’s a common name in Sweden. It’s after Carl Linnaeus, a famous Swedish biologist.

Latest one is Lyla. Very pretty but I think possibly a bit trendy and she might have spelling issues as Lila and Lilah seem to be used too.

Not that I know of. It’s a well known/used Scandi nature name (very popular for young girls there). Super pretty imo, usually pronounced “Lih-nay-ah”. I wish the parents of Nevaehs had discovered this similar sounding one instead!

ETA: Sorry, missed that a PP had explained.

Edited

”It’s Aennil backwards” might not have quite the same appeal, though!

No idea. Maybe. It's also a popular girl's name in Sweden that's becoming more popular where I live.
