Out of curiosity what age are the Emilys you know? Any over the age of 40?

I’m looking for a truly timeless simple name and Emily seems to be a popular suggestion for that style on here. I weirdly didn’t know any Emily’s growing up but I guess it makes sense according to the ons it seemed to peak after I was born. It seemed to have had a big moment in 90s/2000s so I would guess most were in their late teens and early 20s now.

I was just curious if you know any older Emily’s just so I can properly gage if it’s truly timeless or not?

The Emilys I know are mid-50s, 19 and 14.

Edit: just remembered another one, who is 43.

I know one about 40.

I know lots of 80s-born Emilys, so early to mid forties.

I know two, both in their early 50s.

Oh, and to add, I feel like Emily is much more timeless than, say, Emma. If I hear about an Emma I make an assumption that she was born in the 80s or early 90s and I’m almost always right! But Emily could be any age in my head. I’m not keen on it myself but that’s because I have synaesthesia and it “looks” unpleasant to me. It is definitely classic.

I know a few who are late 30s and a couple of toddlers!

I only know one, mid forties.

I was at school with a LOT of girls called Emily (to the point that there were usually at least two in the same class), so they would all be in their late 20's to early 30's.

Not sure if anyone is old enough to remember Bagpuss, but that was the first Emily I heard of.
Really showing my age there!

I know 3. They are 98, 30 and 7.

One in 50’s, one in 40’s. I still think it’s a lovely name.

I think Emily is a lovely name. Very timeless and classy
