What would your children be called if they were named after where they were possibly conceived?

My future baby could maybe be 'Alora' if it is a girl, or maybe be 'Holt' if it is a boy.

(OK, so they might also just be called 'home', but I tried to think of where else I'd been in the weeks around that time!!)

Aphrodite (as in Cyprus) I quite like it, but is a bit exotic for our family

I've been thinking about it OOPS. I think it would be a nice name for a girl - not sure about a boy though... maybe because Sennen sounds a little like Sienna ( isn't there an actress called that? )

I think it's a pretty name actually!

Not very impressed with some of the answers on here!

Not very imaginative are they? I don't mean the actual location i.e. bed, floor etc... but that not many have tried to make a proper name out of the locations, like the OP started to do... or the post about Sophie, as was conceived on the sofa... I'd have called a DD Sophie if the deed happened on a sofa, what a great idea!!

mine would be called:

Districto Federal (or DF)

and

Oaxaca

...I used to live in Mexico for 5 years. Not sure these places would work as names!

....not sure ANY place names work as names!

(if my parents d doen this I would be called Copenhagen)

dull and uninspired

pigleychez · 26/05/2008 08:41

we have joked that bump should be named Paris as were we there for the rugby world cup when it happened.

Anna8888 · 26/05/2008 08:46

My daughter was conceived in the ninth arrondissement of Paris... so she could be called Pigalle . Not sure I really want to remember that time/place, we were not at our best/happiest.

My cousin's daughter's second name is Fidji... for the reasons in the OP.
