What would your children be called if they were named after where they were possibly conceived?

My future baby could maybe be 'Alora' if it is a girl, or maybe be 'Holt' if it is a boy.

(OK, so they might also just be called 'home', but I tried to think of where else I'd been in the weeks around that time!!)

I'm fairly sure DS1 would be called Sierra (or perhaps plain Ford would be better for a boy?)

Dh nearly passed out a couple of years back when his 80-something mother casually informed him he'd have been called Chester if he'd been named after his place of conception!!

How boring that my 2 DDs were conceived at home. If I named them after the places I told DH I was expecting, I'd have a Tussauds and an Almeria for my daughters.

EyeballsintheSky · 24/05/2008 14:25

Elveden...

S'quite cute, Elvie for short. Beats a lot of the names on the names board!

My friend was always rather horrified by the revelation that she should be "snooker table". I know her parents. You wouldn't know they had it in 'em!

seeker · 24/05/2008 14:31

Arbutus Lodge Cork
Cahiciveen Kerry

Lovely names, I think!

ds1- dh and I had sex at noon. Ten hours later I was in New York, in my hotel, and felt ovulation pain. So ds1 would either be Manhattan or Fitzpatrick (hotel's name!)

ds2- conceived in Luton!
