Boys name locked in… help us with a girls name!

Boys name will definitely either be Isaac George or Reuben George.

girls however, we can’t agree.

he likes Freya and Florence. We both kind of like Charlotte, Phoebe and Violet but I’m not sure either of them are ‘the one’. I do love Violet however my friends daughter is Violet so not sure we can go there.

he’s vetoed all of my favourite names, I’m clinging on to Rosa, Eliza, and Annie.

So many of the names suggested were on my list and my partner has vetoed 😭 every name he seems to hate and I can’t get over this thought that my baby girl is going to end up with a name that is ‘ok’ but not the one. This is so hard choosing a name we both agree on!

I don't like Freya or Florence, an not sure of Violet is OK. Frey, Flo and Vi are not very nice.

I like Philippa (note spelling), Harriet and Alice.

I don’t like Freya, I don’t dislike Florence however there are many Florence’s round here. Violet is out as my friends daughter is named Violet.

i like Alice but it’s my cousins name.

Viola rather than Violet?

My dds are Beatrice and Anouk. If I had had a third girl I would have gone for Evangeline.

I think lots of people end up with a name they like rather than love because you're mixing styles. You will grow to love it because it's your child's name and represents them. However I think your lists do match in style just need to find the right one.

Some might be a bit random but trying to suggest ones you wouldn't have thought of. What about Vivienne, Genevieve, Colette, Aurelia, Evangeline, Zara, Vienna, Harriet, Marianne, Lydia, Heather, Adeline, Nancy, Bridget.

Viola rather than Violet?, both OK and both pretty flowers but they don't travel well.

I like Freya and Florence, similar names are Fleur (you seem to like flower names), Fiona, Felicity, Virginia, Vita, Alexandra, Corinna, Paloma.

Violet is lovely! Viola is very pretty, other flower names....Iris, Delphine, Rosalba, Poppy, Fern, Tansy.

I'm not keen on Eliza Rosa or Annie, they sound like the cast of My Fair Lady!
If you really can't agree on a name, then the Mother gets to choose the name.
