Good evening,

Our miracle little boy is arriving in August and I think we have settled on Tobias for a first name, but we are in need of help for a middle name…

Here are some thoughts below but would love more suggestions or views on the ones we have come up with please! Also any other good suggestions for first needs we are open to…

Thank you so much!

Ooh I really like Tobias Reid and Tobias Quinn!

Other ideas you may like:

Tobias Everett
Tobias Clark

Tobias Griffin
Tobias Jay
Tobias Matthew

My little boy is Toby Alexander

BootballJoy · 05/06/2025 16:49

Tobias James and Tobias Quinn flow the best. I'm not a huge fan of James, and it is used pretty frequently as a middle name so out of your ideas I'd go Tobias Quinn.

I do like Tobias Matthew as per PP's suggestion.

Tobias John. Simple, traditional.

Swanfeet · 05/06/2025 20:28

Tobias Grayson sounds nice.

I think Tobias needs a solid middle name. What about Henry?

Another Tobias mum here, always Tobiad never Toby.

Just wanted to say we avoided a J mn incase anybody tried to nn him TJ. Something to consider

I like Tobias Everett best from your list as its handsome and unexpected

My son is Tobias Oak - nod to the strength of the oak tree and also a memory of great grandad who ran a sawmills

Tobias was in our top three boys names. I loved Tobias James. It flowed beautifully but also used a family name too (my Grandad).

Tobias James gets my vote.

Mine too as Tobias has 3 syllables a short middle name works better

Slightyamusedandsilly · 06/06/2025 06:38

James, Paul or Oliver.

I don't actually like the name Paul, but it does go well with Tobias.

TreesAreLife · 06/06/2025 08:05

I have a Tobias Jack (Jack named after grandparents). I think you need a short name to follow Tobias as it has three syllables.

Is Rowland a surname or another middle name?

Avoid the middle names starting with an A. Otherwise his initials spell TAR.

BangersAndGnash · 06/06/2025 08:25

If nothing really grabs you, a middle name really isn’t necessary.

I haven’t got a middle name, neither have my Dc.

We didn’t see any need, didn’t have names as much as we liked the first names so why add a ‘second best’ name just to add more letters on a form filling box.

Choppedcoriander · 06/06/2025 08:33

Theodore, James or Conrad are the only nice names. I’m not keen on one-syllable middle names - so I’d rule out James because of that. I’d pick Conrad.

Kathbrownlow · 06/06/2025 08:36

Congratulations and I would use Theodore
