Middle name for Tobias… Baby boy name inspiration please. Boys names are HARD!

Our miracle little boy is arriving in August and I think we have settled on Tobias for a first name, but we are in need of help for a middle name…

Here are some thoughts below but would love more suggestions or views on the ones we have come up with please! Also any other good suggestions for first needs we are open to…

I have a Tobias. I think it’s a traditional name, and goes best with a traditional middle name. But that’s my personal preference!

people rarely use their full name so just choose a name you love 🥰

Tobias James gets my vote.

I have a Tobias as a DN with lots of middle names - Ill check later today to see how they transfer- we all LOVE Tobias btw, and never Toby - but I am fastidious with Achibald and Oliver for mine - maybe outing but hey ho.

Reid and James seem to be the male equivalent of May and Rose, so I’d avoid those.
Tobias Theodore is my favourite from your list.
Is there a name in the family or another meaningful name you could use?

Saying Toby Rowland aloud sounds a little clunky to me.
Do you think he will have the nick name, Toby?

My immediate thought was Tobias Romeo. I think it just flows nicely but Romeo is absolutely not a name I'd normally think of!
Of your choices I like the single syllable names best so Quinn, Reid or James.

I would just give him a family second name. It is rarely used, will give a family member a big thrill and saves thinking too much.
And Tobias is a brilliant name

If he grows up to be a dinosaur fan, he would love, like my Grandson, to be called Tobias Rex!!

Tobias James or something else with one syllable. Everything else is too much of a mouthful!

I love August and Quinn. Sounds so cool!

I’d definitely go with a 1-syllable middle name - as PPs have said, James is very common, I’d be tempted to go with Quinn or Reid, something a bit different!
