I love Rose

Rose - incredibly dull and ubiquitous. If my parents had named me this I would have changed it as soon as possible.

Maeve and Isla seem like ‘nothing’ names to me.

Callie seems unfinished- as if the parents couldn’t be bothered to write out a full name on the birth certificate.

Cora is ok. A little harsh, but ok.

Rose is lovely.

My mother’s name is Rosemary but she actually likes being called Rose. (Her middle name is Elizabeth, which goes better with Rosemary tbh).

It’s timeless, classy and beautiful. So much nicer than the ridiculous made-up names that are currently in fashion.

I just find it very boring. And it’s every other girl’s middle name.

I love Callie, Isla is nice but very popular, and there are about a million Isla-Rose’s out there.

Sorry, I think it's a dull name, doesn't sound nice out loud and hasn't really got the old lady charm of some similar names. I like Rosemary though.
Callie is cute but feels like a nickname. Could be short for Callista? Calypso?
Maeve is my favourite your list. I think Cora is quite harsh too.

i think Rosie is a more modern and prettier name. Rose seems very traditional and old.

From your list I think Cora is the best and not so popular.

I like all your name ideas, but would choose Rose personally - it feels the most classy and timeless.

@itsgettingweird Freya would be our first choice but it’s my daughters best friends name, so not sure!

I like it best out of your list. Then Cora. Not a fan of Maeve. Isla is ubiquitous (I teach about 6). Callie is ok but sounds like a shortening.

I like it. Classic. Pretty. Easy to spell.

And I'd also struggle with the name of a serial killer.

I wouldn’t avoid a name because a DC has a friend with that name.

For a start they may be best friends now but ……..

It’s a pretty name but it is pretty meh. For me it’s the female version of James - timeless and certainly nothing wrong with it but just incredibly dull. Rosie is nicer or Rosemary.

Rose is one of my favourite girls names. If I’d had a daughter she would have been Rose. I would be happy to be called Rose myself!

You other names are also,lovely, but I like Rose best.

After decades of teaching, I haven't come across a little Rose.
Taught a few children called Rosie, Callie and Isla (ok if you like popular names though)
