Middle name for Farrah

Farrah is at the top of my name list and I am looking for a middle name to go with. I anticipate using Faye or Fae as a shortened name. I would be fine using Farrah as a middle name as my husband suggests but I just love the name. I would like a name that is in the Southern US called a "double name". We have family there and I love the naming style but of course I know very little about how to actually go about creating a double name. I would like a name that is said all in one go. The best suggestion I have been given for this is Farrah Mae due to the nickname I have. I have also gotten Farrah Jane but to me it sounds like Mary Jane. Please help with any suggestions double name or not.

Farrah Louise? I've never heard of Fay as a shortening for Farrah. Seems a bit odd as with the different 'a' sounds, it doesn't sound like the beginning of Farrah at all!

I think Farrah Mae works best and sounds the most Southern too.

Yes! "Slacks" I believe! 😂
Or the wonderful Farrah Fawcett Majors whose red swimsuit poster was a sell out and graced many a teenage bedroom 😂!

AnneKipankitoo · 26/05/2025 19:25

Those trousers were popular with the mods.

Why have a middle name at all? Farrah is good on it’s own.

@cavaliermommy I grew up in the Southern US...Jo is a very popular double barrel middle name.
There was even an old sit-com called 'Petticoat Junction' The girl's names were Billie Jo, Bobbie Jo, and Betty Jo.

AnneKipankitoo · 26/05/2025 22:22

So true , @Sweetpea1532 . My friend’s Mum was SallyLou, her sister MaryBeth.
Not really a middle name as it was all part of the one name but with a capital letter .

Sweetpea1532 · 26/05/2025 22:24

Hahahalol @AnneKipankitoo those are some real double barrel southern names!😂
