Those with 3 and more DC - did you find it really difficult to choose third and subsequent names? I am finding it really difficult!

I have a DD and a DS
Love both their names

Now, I either think "meh" about names or I can't reach agreemetn with DH (he won't let me have Miles and Amelia the fucker)

I never had this problem with the other two!

Im due #3 in sept have a dd and a ds this one is a boy

it is really hard i cant think of anything i like at the mo.

BigBadMouse · 15/05/2008 20:57

DC3 is due on Sunday but we still have no name we agree on. I think it is more to do with him being a boy than himn being the third - we agreed on a girls name before he was even conceived.

I have one name I love but DH will not have since he told his dad what it was and his dad said it was awful . There are others that are OK but he will be our last child and only boy so I want to get it right. Just hope I know his name as soon as I see him - it's an emotive subject for me

Help!!

PeachyHas4BoysAndLovesIt · 15/05/2008 21:07

found ds2 and ds3 harder

when DS3 was born I hasd a really strange sense of missing Sebastian- even though he didnt exist

well he does now, and he was worth missing LOL!

dh chose ds2's name and I dint like it, but i adore it now as does he- it suits him (Stirling)

cheesesarnie · 15/05/2008 21:09

we let dd and ds1 chose names.dd chose a girls name and ds chose a boys name.when ds2 was born we named him ds1 choice(we talked him out of kitten rainbow)and dd chose his middle name.

dizzydixies · 15/05/2008 23:05

MamaG am the same have two dd's and now struggling with ideas for this dc

we still have all the names we loved for a boy as we haven't had a chance to use them but are struggling for a girls name

at least we have 10wks to go

bluenosesaint · 15/05/2008 23:10

Yes. I have two dd's. Love dd1 and dd2's name ...and love their middle names.

Couldn't decide on dd's name. Then i set my heart on a name but it was dh's choice. He picked a different name. I still don't like it. She is 10 months old

bluenosesaint · 15/05/2008 23:11

I have three dd's. Doh

Couldn't decide on dd3's name. Doh

Think its time for me to go to bed ...

Oh hatrick - I thought you were going with Ezra? I love Ezra, and it's made me sad that you aren't using it now.

MamaG - there's a site someone suggested on here the other day where you can enter a few names that you like and it will come up with other ones. Suggestions seemed reasonably sensible when I tried it. Will go see if I can find the link.

CantSleepWontSleep · 16/05/2008 07:57

This was it MamaG.

EffiePerine · 16/05/2008 08:20

now that one gives me Lincoln, Dean and Dwight phmm]

CantSleepWontSleep · 16/05/2008 08:30

It gave me Dwight just now too .
I only did girls on it the other day, where it seemed to do much better.

Ezra is a gorgeous name, and surely the sort of person who would statrt a nasty thread is exactly the sort of person whose opinion doesn't count?

FWIW, Dad likes ds1's name (Samuel) but loathes the others, we used them anyway and you know what? it don't kill ya.

Enid · 16/05/2008 10:25

I didnt exactly start a thread to slate ezra per se

it was the return of very old testament names I was musing

Enid · 16/05/2008 10:26

mamag

dh chose all three girls names

because I really dont care much

its like dogs

once you have had them for a bit their name always suits them

PeachyHas4BoysAndLovesIt · 16/05/2008 10:26

that's actualy very true Enid- especially with the more unusual names.

Enid · 16/05/2008 10:28

anyway my girls are actually called

Beanie
Biff
and
Pix

which is what i call them all the time

PeachyHas4BoysAndLovesIt · 16/05/2008 10:33

on that basis mine are called spam, girly, bobo and kwoojie lol

Enid · 16/05/2008 10:41

If I had a fourth child and it was a boy I would call him Boris

EffiePerine · 16/05/2008 10:45

DH has suggested Magnus for a boy - am tempted...
