On your thread last month you have 2 boys and a girl.

Because it's ridiculous to give your children matching incorrectly spelt middle names. So people are poking fun.

ETA most of your suggestions aren't colours as requested. Also Russet and Rosette, really?! A potato and a fancy ribbon.....

Edited

They all have colour meanings - it's an interesting challenge.

It's hardly so unusual to use spelling variants, and half this forum is made up of requests for names that go together one way or another.

Just a pile-on here.

....and expecting number 4.
Is it for privacy reasons?

Maisonette

Notellinganyone · 10/04/2025 08:57

Fuckette.

KewTitles · 10/04/2025 08:57

Gillette? She could tell future potential husbands that she’s the best a man can get.

Garnette

That’s a nice one. My suggestion would be Orangette because I love them

Oftenaddled · 10/04/2025 09:00

Adette and Adinette have Hebrew origins meaning bright if that works, as well as Germanic meaning noble.

Teateaandmoretea · 10/04/2025 09:00

Please choose Scarlett for her sake. As a name I personally prefer violet but it only has 1 t at the end.

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosilverette.

Teateaandmoretea · 10/04/2025 09:02

Okay, they are the actual ones you have not the names list. There isn’t another sensible one.

They already exist in the family - they'll be the new baby's big sisters.

Oftenaddled · 10/04/2025 09:11

I like Burnett as well (French origin, brown, usually with double t)

IfYouPutASausageInItItsNotAViennetta · 10/04/2025 09:12

Rubyliette sounds rather captivating.

LondonNootropics · 10/04/2025 09:15

Greylett
Blacklett
Pinklett
Lilaclett
Bluelett

The options are endless!

It’s called humour, you should try it.

The first few posts were admittedly quite entertaining…

but it has gotten old and trite. It has simply become a pile on.

Juiceinacup · 10/04/2025 09:20

Desperette

PumpkinsAndCoconuts · 10/04/2025 09:22

Margaret?

Margaret means pearl. Pearl is obviously (also) a colour, so that might fit the bill.

Yvette (female version of Yves) means Yew. Not a colour but could be considered a „nature“ name like Violett.

Olivette? Bit close to Oubliette, but that might work.

WhatterySquash · 10/04/2025 09:22

Coralette is a real name

MirandaBlu · 10/04/2025 09:22

Tchelet is a legit Hebrew girls' name meaning sky blue or azure - pretty rare and probably best known at the moment via actress/director Tchelet Semel. Pronounced something like t'KHEH-let. Also, Keshet - which can be either a female or a male name - means rainbow.

Adding an extra t at the end wouldn't change the meaning or pronunciation of these particular names; they're transliterated anyway, so the spelling's approximate. (People who know the names might be apt to spell them the usual way with the terminal -et, but if it's a middle name that probably matters less on a practical level.)

There's also Chloette - a probably very old fashioned French-language diminutive for Chloe (meaning "green shoot") and Opalette, once upon a time quite popular in the US south.

Thank you all. This thread has had me crying laughing.

Those names are already „taken“ by the OP‘s two older daughters…

I rather like Margaret (or Margarett, if the double t is truly not negotiable).

EdithBond · 10/04/2025 09:24

Colette - every colour

It has turned into a word game and is not personal.

OP, I hope you can find a lovely name for your little girl which suits her as an individual in her own right!
