Eleanor, Eloise or Rosalie?

Hello!

I was wondering which name gets the most ‘votes’ out of the three above?

Baby’s middle name(s) at present are likely to be Margot and/or Lily (names of beloved family members)

I much prefer Eloise.

DuskyPink1984 · 27/03/2025 15:52

Rosalie is beautiful

notatinydancer · 27/03/2025 16:04

Eleanor

Thewalrusandthecarpenter · 27/03/2025 16:34

Definitely Eleanor - classic and elegant. Nell is a nice name in its own right too.

LilyJosephine · 27/03/2025 18:21

Sorry can’t believe I wrote Elodie instead of Eloise 🤦‍♀️Still feel the same way though -first choice Eleanor, 2nd Rosalie (though maybe not with Lily), 3rd Eloise.

  1. Eloise
  2. Rosalie but prefer Rosie. Not keen on Eleanor but Ellen is nice.

Eloise is my favourite out of the three

TheeNotoriousPIG · 27/03/2025 18:45

I choose Eloise, because there aren't enough of them around!

I like Eleanor, but I'm not a fan of Ellie. Nor was an Eleanor that I knew, and she regularly corrected people that, no, it wasn't Ellie.

Margot is also lovely, but doesn't go with my surname because of the long 'O' sound!

TheAphrodite · 27/03/2025 22:05

Rosalie is a gorgeous name. Rosie for short?

Eleanor. Classic, elegant and not frilly.
The other two are too fussy.

Agreed

Eleanor is my favourite. Have you considered Rosalind?

I am an Eleanor Rosalind!

Justhereforthis · 27/03/2025 22:15

Rosalie. Beautiful name and also a beautiful song by Jarrod Dickenson

EatingHealthy · 27/03/2025 22:18

Eleanor Margot

Jamclag · 27/03/2025 22:18

Rosalie Margot or
Eloise Lily
Both are lovely.

mathanxiety · 27/03/2025 23:11

Eleanor Margot
Eloise Lily

Rosalie is a bit cutesy imo.

theunbreakablecleopatrajones · 28/03/2025 23:38

Eloise

Rosalie is a bit gypsy rose lee

An Eloise is as likely to end up Ellie as an Eleanor, though.

Emanwenym · 29/03/2025 00:40

Eloise is one of those names that looks pretty bur seems a bit clunky to say.

HeathcliffvsMrDarcy · 29/03/2025 01:12
  1. Eleanor- classic and no need to be Ellie unless she wishes.
  2. Eloise may become a current ‘trend name’ with Bridgerton -so as long as you don’t mind.
  3. Rosalie I also think Gypsy Rose Lee, but like Rosalind.
