I agree to some extent (so I probably shouldn’t have suggested Lara but just couldn’t resist as it’s one of my faves 🤦‍♀️).

But I think as long as the number of syllables is different then it’s not as bad imo. So Leah and Lena is very matchy but Leah and Lydia sound like they could be sisters rather than twins.

ETA: I actually know a Leah and Lily sibset so agree that if you want 2 syllables as well as the same initial, it’s best to vary the ending sound OP.

Absolutely this. My sister and I have names that start and end with the same sounds and I hate it.

Luanne, the name of one of my daughters, a song by Foreigner, as it happens. Shortens nicely to Lulu.

Lowen/Lowenna

I think sharing initials can be tricky. We think of our children as sets , but they think of themselves as individuals, and not having your own initial can feel like forced teaming.
