Still stuck on names

Hello! Still stuck on names for DD who is coming soon. We've narrowed it down a bit but I'm just not loving anything and tempted to let DH name her at this rate! What do you think of our list of potentials? We live in London 😊

Clara
Robyn Elisabeth
Amber Elisabeth
Rose Elizabeth

It's a fab list.

I like Rose least, a bit boring.

Clara is nice but quite popular.

Both Amber and Robyn are great, not overused, easy to say and spell, pretty but not twee, suit a baby and an adult.

With that list I think you could just pull one from a hat.

I also love Elizabeth (not keen on the S spelling though).

ZiggyZowie · 06/02/2025 22:26

Clara and Amber are nice

KevinAndTracy · 06/02/2025 22:28

I love Robyn Elizabeth

I prefer Elizabeth with Z

Ferrazzuoli · 06/02/2025 22:28

I love all of these! I think my favourite is Clara.

BootballJoy · 06/02/2025 22:29

I like Rose and Amber. What about Elizabeth as a first name?

Elizabeth Robyn
Amber Robyn
Rose Elizabeth

Clara is nice just a harsher sound than the others, and I'm not a fan of Robyn as a first name (unless Robin for a boy).

Pumpkinpiex18 · 06/02/2025 22:36

Are you set on Elizabeth as a middle name?

Moreteaandchocolate · 06/02/2025 22:36

Lovely list! You can’t go wrong with any of these! Clara and Amber are my personal favourites - simple, pretty for all ages (I can imagine them working equally well on myself, my teenager or my little ones) and easy to spell / pronounce. Rose is nice but quite “sensible!” Robyn sounds fun and cool to me.

I’d pick Clara.

JustCuttinAboot · 06/02/2025 22:40

Robyn is fabulous

Mumofgirls2017 · 06/02/2025 22:40

Fave is Clara then Robyn then Amber then Rose

Moonlightstars · 06/02/2025 22:48

All lovely. Clara is the nicest.

Love Clara and Rose. My personal preference is the spelling Robin like the bird for both sexes. Robyn looks a little dated to me - this is purely personal preference though. Not a massive fan of Amber, not really sure why.

Wanderlust86 · 06/02/2025 23:08

Love Robyn and Amber.

VioletBeau23 · 06/02/2025 23:11

Lovely list but Robyn wins it by a country mile for me. Timeless and cool. I always think of little Robyn's being strong, cheeky and full of personality. I like the nature reference too.

user1492757084 · 06/02/2025 23:12

Inspired by your list, I love ..

Amber Elizabeth
Claire Elizabeth - my fave.
Rose Elizabeth

Which first name sounds best with your surname when said aloud?

Do you like Anna, Sara, Zara or Sarah?

Chuchoter · 06/02/2025 23:18

Amber Elizabeth is my favourite.

Hiccupsandteacups · 06/02/2025 23:19

I like Robyn the most. Has the most personality. Also I think Robin is boys spelling so like I prefer Robyn for a girl

PreggersWithBaby2 · 06/02/2025 23:20

I absolutely adore the name Clara

RosePosse · 06/02/2025 23:23

Robyn Elisabeth

Personally I like Elisabeth with an S as it looks softer (especially if it's a middle name so she won't have to spell it out too often).

Enough4me · 06/02/2025 23:26

Elizabeth is nice as a middle name, but I'd rethink first names if you're not sure.

Try them with Elizabeth:
Rosa Elizabeth
Rachel Elizabeth
Freya Elizabeth

LadyGAgain · 06/02/2025 23:40

Love Rose - timeless and classic
Amber - is a bit eastenders but I do like it as I love everything that conjures an orange colour
Clara - awful.
Elizabeth is beautiful. Again timeless. So many derivatives too.

LadyGAgain · 06/02/2025 23:40

Robyn - meh

theduchessofspork · 07/02/2025 00:23

I love Robin - I don’t think it needs the y spelling personally - it’s a bit of a 70s vibe - Robin is a unisex name by nature

Really like Clara

Rose - lovely but there are just a billion Rose/Rosie/Rosas so I wouldn’t

I really don’t like Amber - I don’t know why, I sort of associate it with the 70s vibe of Jade and Saffron type names

The only thing is Robin and Clara are both quite popular right now if that bothers you
