We are pregnant with a Baby girl, our first child.
We would lile a Name with a beautiful meaning. Should be short. It should be an internstional Name. IÅ¥ should also be solid and traditional.

Middle Name/s will be family Names.

Names we like but CANNOT use are
Amelie, James, Helen, Evelyn, Leonard, Benedict.

We are open to suggestions

Why did you mention boy names?

FutureFry · 13/12/2024 22:44

Honestly OP, I'm finding your brief utterly confusing!

  1. Why the boys' names?
  2. How can a name be international and English?
  3. You mention beautiful meaning, but as lovely a name as Amélie is, it means hard-working, which isn't exactly beautiful.

It may be worth really thinking through what you want from a name.

I love Evelyn and Amélie and also like Elodie, Gabriella, Felicity and Emily.

So if its a girl why have you said you cannot use James, Leonard and Benedict? 😂

(And I don't care, James isn't a girls name!!)

DuchessOfSausage · 14/12/2024 19:08

@Crunchymum, on MN those are unisex names, didn't you know. (I agree with you)

I know James is on here but Leonard and Benedict becoming unisex has passed me by 😆

Alva is the anglicised version of an Irish name meaning fair or bright. My friend who lives in germany used it a few years ago and gets lots of compliments on it.

DuchessOfSausage · 14/12/2024 19:16

@Crunchymum , sorry got Leonard and Lionel, and Benedict and Bennett mixed up.

James is a unisex Name and would have been a real ootion if we could have used it just like Bennett. But thank you.

I would appreciate that you stop making comments bout the Names we cannot use.
It is my decision to post them or not.

You posted the names you couldn't use and then corrected the poster/s who gave boys names?

Was just asking why you'd posted boys names? (No sure where Bennett has come from? It was Benedict was it not?)

Anyway. Hope you find the right name.

DuchessOfSausage · 15/12/2024 15:36

@Crunchymum , blame me for Bennet. Unisex my arse.

@AnLe92 , Just call your baby Adam and be done with it. Once you have used it for your little girl it will be unisex won't it.
