I genuinely think it's a beautiful name. Never thought of "Fay" as a nn - that's lovely. I was thinking "Effie" or "Emmie" - only a pipe dream for me though.

My 17 month old baby is called Emmie 🥰 my partner picked it, I liked Ellie or Courtney but he won me over with that name it's just cute 😊

Will always love Mallory, would so suit DD but couldn’t bring myself to use it because it means ‘unlucky or ill-omened’

I LOVED that name when I was pregnant but OH hated it - I heard it from the film Inception it was Leo DiCaprios wifes name but they call her Mal for short. Still love it.
