Jude is the German word for Jew. It does travel well imo.

Elijah. If you like Jude, I'd find a longer name to call him then make Jude a shortening.

I much prefer Jude, especially with Isaac. Isaac and Elijah are quite samey for brothers, with both having the same strong 'eye' sound.

Also, from my experience working in a school, Elijah appears to be a name that many young children really struggle to pronounce.

Not a fan of either but if I had to pick it would be Jude. Elijah & Isaac are very samey.

Sorry to raise it again but as someone called Jude, with Jewish heritage I’d really like to understand why Jude being German for Jew is a problem.

Or can anyone else help me understand?
