I'm struggling to choose names that work for twins and are nice individually!
Here are some ideas:
Girls:
Rose
Lydia
Isabelle
Hope
Katie
Hannah

Boys:
Adam
Lucius
Jack
Alfie
Taylor
Jimmy

Hannah and Adam sound great

Agree with this.

Sone nice names on your list. I have boy/girl twins and what ever you choose make sure they sound OK said together because you will say them together alot (more than you say them with a singleton or more than you say with their middle name). Also different first letters help differentiate at school/nhs etc.
Some nice names. I also want them to be individual so went for different sounds to the names (lookily they sound good together too but I hadn't thought much about that!).

Sunnnybunny72 · 25/09/2024 07:57

Adam and Katie

I have an Adam. His twin would have been Natalie.

Agree with @123Theplotthickens , I have b/g twins too and their names get said together a lot! I like all the names on your list apart from Lucius.
favourites are:
Katie and Alfie
Rosie and Alfie

Sleepnplay · 25/09/2024 09:57

Girls I like Lydia, Hope and Hannah.

Boys list not really my taste other than Adam. Would probably go Jack as second choice.

Amdone123 · 25/09/2024 10:07

Lydia and Adam.

SonicTheHodgeheg · 25/09/2024 10:27

You can’t use Rose and Jack unless you’re hardcore Titanic fans.
The most famous Taylor in the UK is Swift - if this is a tribute to her then use it for your daughter rather than son. Boys with girls names will probably get more stick that girls with boys names. I know that it’s unisex elsewhere but people will assume that Taylor is female in the UK and that you are a Swiftie.

I think that your best girls names are Hope and Hannah
Boys names
Adam, Jack, Alfie

Lucius makes me think Harry Potter and the popularity of the franchise seems to be continuing on and on.

hlc123 · 25/09/2024 10:38

Adam and Hannah sound lovely together. Not keen on Rose, Lucius or Taylor but like all your other names.

BootballJoy · 25/09/2024 11:19

Adam and Lydia

Also liking Jack and Rose, Katie and Alfie, Hannah and Adam.

Jack and rose are too titanic

Mumofgirls2017 · 25/09/2024 22:29

Think I’d probably go Alfie and Isabelle

Guavafish1 · 25/09/2024 22:30

Isabelle

Hannah

Adam

Jack

FunkyClunky · 25/09/2024 23:38

Hope & Jack
But I think Lucy & Jack is even nicer!

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 25/09/2024 23:51

Adam and Lydia or Adam and Hannah work really well - both shortish, suits all ages and a subtle Biblical link.

Although I love Lydia, I’d be tempted by Adam and Hannah more as both are Top 100 (although Hannah may fall out) and kids love getting junk with their names on🤣

I really like Adam and Rose too actually - both popular classics, nice 4 letter link. I would have said Jack and Rose for the same reasons but Titanic is just so well known still, you’d have to be willing to put up with the occasional comment.

Jack and Hannah sound nice together too though, for similar reasons. Adam and Hope is also nice enough.

I adore James but find Jimmy too Saville (I know there are lots of Jimmy’s but it tainted the nn for me). Similarly Katherine is lovely but Katie quite 90’s. Alfred is traditional and strong but I find Alfie a bit cutesy plus very trendy- as is Taylor to me (plus thanks to the cult of Swift it’s gone to the girls a bit).Isabelle is lovely but that spelling is a bit frilly for me, and you’d need a very strong personality to pull off Lucius imo.

Other ideas
William/Liam instead of Adam?
Max or Zachary/Zac instead of Jack?
Anna instead of Hannah?
Julia instead of Lydia?
