I love Esther, Iris and Lydia.

Chrishelle · 28/09/2024 16:49

I recently met a Ciara (pronounced Sara as in a long aaaah)

FayCarew · 28/09/2024 17:33

Ciara is pronounced Keira usually. Can't see why someone would say it as Sara.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 28/09/2024 18:58

My favourites are

Eloise
Iris
Evelyn
Keziah

In fact Eloise Iris would be lovely.

Elinor/Eleanor - I like both spellings and it's a nice name
Liora/Leora - Pretty good and quite uncommon
Esther - Not a huge fan
Eden - Gorgeous, very pretty name
Miriam - So beautiful
Evelyn - I really love this but it would cause pronunciation issues as there r two
Iris - Not my favourite
Keziah - Really dislike
Lydia - Very pretty
Rebecca - Not a fan
Eloise - Nice name but getting very popular
Lucy - Love it
Juliet - Pretty
Gabrielle - Nice name
Sophie - Nice name
Rosanna - Not a fan because there are so many Rose names and different spellings. I do like the name Rose on its own though
Joni - Dislike
Arianne - Prefer Ariane and love that but not with your spelling
Alma - Hate
Frances/Francesca - Dislike Frances but love Francesca

Favourites for me are Eden, Miriam and Lydia. But I also really like Eloise, Lucy, Sophie and Ariane.

Not this Ciara

RedOnyx · 29/09/2024 10:13

I love Iris and Arianne (prefer Ariana though). Esther and Eloise is nice too.

Rebecca feels very 80s, so won't be over-used these days. I used to know a Rebecca whose nickname was Rebbie rather than Becky. Becca or Bex are also options.

I've never been a fan of Lydia. It's just not a nice sound in my opinion. Sophie and Lucy feel a bit boring. Maybe Lucille or Lucinda with Lucy as a short form.

The one at my daughter's nursery is pronounced Kee-ara. I'm not in the UK though. I don't see how you'd get Sara though - unless they mean the same pronunciation as Sarah?

Chrishelle · 29/09/2024 11:39

@RedOnyx
@FayCarew

No it's definitely as in Saaaarah

FayCarew · 29/09/2024 15:51

Why not spell it as Sara then?

Cattery · 29/09/2024 15:52
