Francesca is beautiful

Barleysugar86 · 23/09/2024 23:44

I love Eden. It's beautiful. I wanted to use it but by husband was worried we'd need to be a bit religious for that. I also love Eleanor, Sophie and Juliet.

Moreteaandchocolate · 24/09/2024 04:58

Lydia - lovely classic but not keen on “Lyds”

Eloise - Gorgeous but often becomes another Ellie
Lucy - love, one of my all time favourites
Juliet - like - can become Jules which is quite cool
Gabrielle - like and like Gabby
Sophie - beautiful classic, lots around of all ages though

muffledvoice · 24/09/2024 07:30

Miriam is lovely or even mariam
I also love Joni And keziah from that list.

When I was younger I loved the name kizzy but never used that for my daughter

PreggersWithBaby2 · 24/09/2024 07:33

Favourite: Eleanor

Also like:
Leora
Eden
Lucy

Not a fan of the others to be honest

CrazylazyJane · 24/09/2024 08:03

Francesca or Sophie are my favourites.

FayCarew · 24/09/2024 09:34

Esther - like
Miriam - like
Lydia - like
Lucy - like
Sophie - love but Sophia is overused
Iris - OK
Keziah - OK but don't like it said as Kezzya
Rebecca - OK but was very popular in the 1990s
Eloise - OK but a bit of a mouthful. Gets misspelt as Elouise which is horrible
Juliet - OK but don't like it said as Julie-Ett
Gabrielle - OK, seems dated
Rosanna - OK but will be Ros or Rosie
Joni - cute but prefer Joanie
Alma -OK
Frances/Francesca - OK, will be Fran or Frankie

Arianne - sounds like a rocket or something
Liora/Leora - neither OK
Eden - a bit trendy. Not keen on it.
Evelyn - don't like. Will be Evie

Pinkl · 24/09/2024 09:37

Eden
Iris
Lucy

17caterpillars1mouse · 24/09/2024 09:43

Elinor/Eleanor - to me these have different pronunications, Elinor is noor at the end, Eleanor is neh at the end. I prefer the Elinor pronunciation but prefer it spelt Eleanore

Liora/Leora - I like the sound but both Spellings just look made up to me

Esther - lovely name, i like the nicknames Essie and Ettie

Eden - prefer on a boy

Miriam - i like it but always feel its quite a heavy name on a child. Will obviously be fibe for most of her life as an adult. Miri is cute

Evelyn - pretty but its just so overused in my area. Evelyn's and Evie's everywhere. Plusses the similar Eva.

Iris - lovely name

Keziah - not a fan

Lydia - love it
Rebecca - i would love to meet a little Rebecca

Eloise - not a fan

Lucy - nice enough

Juliet - its ok

Gabrielle - not a fan

Sophie - nice but very popular along with all the Sophia's who go by Sophie too

Rosanna - very pretty. Would she like Marianne too. I always think it has a similar feel to Rosanna and Miriam

Joni - nope

Arianne - not a fan

Alma - lovely

Frances/Francesca - like Francesca but always think Frances sounds a bit cold on a girl.

MostlyGhostly · 24/09/2024 09:56

Eloise, Joni, Arianne are my favorites

Keziah is the only one I’m not keen on

Mumofgirls2017 · 24/09/2024 12:18

Juliet, Eloise, Iris, Eden or Esther. Also Joni!

lavenderjump · 24/09/2024 15:33

Favourites are Miriam or Lydia

AdoraBell · 24/09/2024 15:38

I like

Rebecca
Eleanor
Eloise
Sophie
Francesca

Jessieshome · 24/09/2024 15:49

Love these:
Joni - Gorgeous if a little American country music but I love American country music!
Juliet
Eloise
Sophie (all though very popular along with Sophia)
Arianne
Lucy

Alright:
Elinor/Eleanor
Rebecca
Esther
Gabrielle
Evelyn
Frances/Francesca
Rosanna

Horrible:
Alma
Lydia
Eden
Miriam
Iris
Liora/Leora - Sounds like a margarine or laundry powder
Keziah - seems totally random with the other choices and I don't think it sounds nice

In my opinion :) Good luck to your cousin!

BootballJoy · 24/09/2024 17:06

Elinor/Eleanor - nice.
Liora/Leora - not a fan
Esther - not a fan
Eden - not a fan
Miriam - beautiful
Evelyn - no
Iris - I don't like the sound
Keziah - I'm never sure how to say it!
Lydia - nice
Rebecca - ok
Eloise - ok
Lucy - ok
Juliet - nice
Gabrielle - ok
Sophie - lovely sound
Rosanna - ok
Joni - ok but only because I like Joni Mitchell
Arianne - nice
Alma - ok
Frances/Francesca - Francesca is beautiful

My favourites are Miriam, Francesca and Sophie, with Lydia and Juliet also good choices.

Catandsquirrel · 24/09/2024 17:48

Esther or Miriam favourites

Least: Gabrielle, Rosanna, Arianne, Eden, Rebecca (I don't like Becky or Bex)

Frances better than Francesca

Lucy and Sophie, ok but I think there are more interesting choices there. Not very exciting.

Anything not mentioned fine.

Katielovesteatime · 28/09/2024 05:38

I love the list! I have removed any names that I wouldn’t use for various reasons (too popular, a bit dull in comparison to the others, anything) and found I’m left with:

Esther
Lydia
Eloise
Juliet
Alma

Katielovesteatime · 28/09/2024 05:38

How about Rafaela?
