Both are lovely. Rose flows best with Victoria. Which sounds best with your surname?

Evolutionarygoals · 12/09/2024 08:02

When i was little I desperately wanted to be called Rose. I thought it was the most beautiful name in the world. I'd go with Rose

WandsOut · 12/09/2024 08:04

Rose is the most beautiful name in the world. Rose Victoria is perfect.

FayCarew · 12/09/2024 08:14

The one that goes best with the surname.
They're both fine.
Rose Victoria flows better, but she'll be Rose/a Surname most of the time.

Take care that the Firstname Surname combination works. I'd avoid a combination like Rose West/Beith/Lamb/Early etc.

Firsttimebabymummy · 12/09/2024 09:02

Rose for sure.

Rose Victoria is gorgeous and flows well.
Congratulations

shoopshoopdedoo · 12/09/2024 09:33

Rose! I love it. Not that fussed on Rosa.

Nicebloomers · 12/09/2024 11:41

I like Rosa but it doesn’t flow as well with Victoria. What about Rosalie Victoria? You can use Rose or Rosa or Rosie.

BarbaraHoward · 12/09/2024 11:58

Rose flows better with Victoria, but I prefer Rosa. I wouldn't worry about flow with the middle name, personally, they're never used.

Rose is the middle name of every second little girl ATM, which makes it a bit bland to my ear, but Rosa is quite nice.

TallulahBetty · 12/09/2024 12:05

Rose is EVERYWHERE. Blah.

FayCarew · 12/09/2024 12:05

OP isn't asking about Rosalie, which to me isn't anywhere as nice as Rose and Rosa.

Abbylikeswine · 12/09/2024 12:05

Rosa!

bumblebeegarden · 12/09/2024 12:09

If you call her Rosa she has the option of shortening it to Rose if she suits that.
If you call her Rose she's likely to just be Rose.
I personally like Rose best and Rose Victoria sounds lovely.

deeahgwitch · 12/09/2024 13:13

Rose is lovely, far nicer than Rosie imo.

WinterCarlisle · 12/09/2024 13:52

Rosa 100%. Beautiful name

Busted2006 · 12/09/2024 14:53

depends on your surname.

I love both though.

Rosa pips it for me, only slightly though

deeahgwitch · 12/09/2024 18:04

deeahgwitch · 12/09/2024 13:13

Rose is lovely, far nicer than Rosie imo.

Oh ! 🙈 I meant nicer than Rosa not Rosie.
I love Rosie but thats not an option given by the OzP

okydokethen · 12/09/2024 18:08

Rose

But Rosa is really lovely

HerVagestyTheQueef · 12/09/2024 20:14

Rose.
I have a Rose. It’s a beautiful name. What could be lovelier than a rose?
It may be a common middle name, but far less common as a first name.

ScarletWitchM · 12/09/2024 20:49

I love Rose! My grandma was Rosina which I also love

ScruffMuffin · 12/09/2024 21:13

Rosa!

Daisybuttercup12345 · 12/09/2024 21:23

Rose goes better with Victoria.
Rosemary?

softmauve · 12/09/2024 21:25

Rosa

Changethetoner · 12/09/2024 21:25

Rose if you're English.
Rosa if you have Spanish heritage.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 12/09/2024 22:22

Rose feels more classic to me (and sounds slightly better with Victoria) and is more popular so she might be able to get tat with her name on it in shops (which kids really seem to love🤣)- but as pp say it really depends on which sounds better with your surname as both are lovely.

Ignore the pp who said Rose is everywhere - it’s really not, apart from as a middle name (just like May). The great thing about using Rose as a first name is that it’s very familiar so she’ll fit right in - yet it’s outside the Top 50 so she’ll likely be the only one in her class (small possibly there could be a Rosie too, but using Rosa instead still wouldn’t solve that problem anyway).

TallulahBetty · 12/09/2024 12:05

Rose is EVERYWHERE. Blah.

Tallulah and Betty are everywhere yuck!
