Short and simple girl names help please!

So far I really like but am not using: Nell, Niamh, June and Joan. I’m looking for fresh ideas!

I’m looking for shorter, non-flowery girl names. Something about single syllable names really resonates for me - I find them really charming and I think they’ll work well rhythmically with my long surname.

Alternatively, any suggestions of simple two syllable names for girls that don’t end in -a -ia -ie -y…?

I saw someone mentioned Joanie and I think that's lovely!

First names I thought were Anna, Beth, Faith, Ruth, Emma, Kate, Faye

larkstar · 14/08/2024 10:04

I rarely, if ever, see Ida or Ada mentioned. Old sounding names perhaps.

Edit OK not one syllable - but short.
