So far I really like but am not using: Nell, Niamh, June and Joan. I’m looking for fresh ideas!

I’m looking for shorter, non-flowery girl names. Something about single syllable names really resonates for me - I find them really charming and I think they’ll work well rhythmically with my long surname.

Alternatively, any suggestions of simple two syllable names for girls that don’t end in -a -ia -ie -y…?

Anna

or even just Ana - east European spelling, I think...?

Actually, Hannah as well.

One of ours would have been a Hannah if they were the right sex...

Laura. Always a good, strong name.

spiderlight · 11/08/2024 00:04

The first name that popped into my head was Ruth.

Rae.

That's a cool name, deffo.

A friend of mine's action-girl daughter is called Rae - maybe short for Aurora or Aurelia perhaps...
