I'm due DS in just over 2 weeks and am undecided on a name. Which name do you prefer? Charlie or Stanley. Big brother is Louie.

I hate Charlie. Love Stanley. Stan the man!

Charlie, by a good way. The best person (besides my husband and son!) I know is a Charlie, and I’m terribly fond of the others I know too so it has great connotations for me. It’s a good solid name without being dull.
Stan is nice enough but I think would need quite a cool kid to carry it off.

I unfortunately knew an old paedophile called Stanley when I was a kid. Disgusting old git he was. Puts me off the name. It’s an old man’s name definitely.

I have a Charlie. Such a great name. He’s an adult now and it suits no matter what age. In Ireland and there’s not that many of them around here. I don’t like Stanley.
