The end half of it I'm not such a fan of. Love Lucian though!

TuesdayWhistler · 25/05/2024 14:18

I like the name Lucius.

It reminds me of a song by Charlie Daniels.

The Legend Of Wooley Swamp.

It's our cats name - Lucius Meowfoy!

Love this 😂

Firsttimebabymummy · 25/05/2024 14:55

I like it, but also not read Harry Potter.

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 25/05/2024 15:12

Nope

ginasevern · 25/05/2024 15:19

A bit too close to Lucifer. The nickname potential is sparse too (Lu?). How about Luca?

AtomHeartMotherOfGod · 25/05/2024 15:21

I know a really lovely one, so I like it 😂

I'm a huge Potter fan but have no major issues on that score as I like Jason Isaacs, and anyway, the character has a slight redemption arc, due to cowardice blended with love for his family.

TemuSpecialBuy · 25/05/2024 15:23

Yay from me

Rainingsincenovember · 25/05/2024 17:22

No - it puts me in mind of Lucius Malfoy.

ShadesofPoachedSmoke · 25/05/2024 17:25

Instantly think of the gorgeous Jason as Lucius Malfoy.

If you're ok with that association, I think it's a strong name.

iAmBarbara · 25/05/2024 17:26

I also prefer Lucian

RogueFemale · 25/05/2024 17:27

Lucian would be better.

Elmlee · 25/05/2024 17:31

Love 🥰

TeamPolin · 25/05/2024 17:33

Malfoy association is too strong for me. Perhaps wouldn't be an issue if the character was a good guy. But he's pretty unpleasant so....

Hard no, sorry. Too "luscious" sounding and too similar to Lucifer. I can imagine kids at school calling him Luscious Lucius, although it would be a fabulous moniker if he became a wrestler, boxer or exotic male dancer.

I know a woman who meant to call her baby Lucius, but spelled it Luscious. Poor child.

KnitnNatterAuntie · 25/05/2024 17:38

No

pinkdelight · 25/05/2024 18:02

Nay. Not cos of Potter but it just sounds like a baddie name in general. Which is cool in a movie but not IRL.

Longdarkcloud · 25/05/2024 18:20

How do you pronounce it OP?
Im not keen on the was with the shh sound.
Lucas or Lukas or Lucian are better.
Do you fancy Lysander or Leander?

Brexile · 25/05/2024 18:27

It's not just Malfoy though, it's the very cool (in every sense of the word!) Lucius Best, a.k.a. Frozone. (Although he pronounces it Looshus, which I don't like as much).

I think it's a brilliant name.

TealDog · 25/05/2024 18:28

I like it but it is quite ‘Harry potter’, I prefer Lucien.

GingerScallop · 25/05/2024 18:29

ilovevinyl · 25/05/2024 18:29

Malfoy?

VeganFromSveden · 25/05/2024 18:33

Lucas or Luca

bleuclair · 25/05/2024 18:35

It's a lovely name.

melissasummerfield · 25/05/2024 18:40

We know one and all his friends shorten his name to looch which i think sounds awful lol
