I find them quite different- Rory is more traditional (albeit enjoying a surge in popularity at the moment). Jasper feels more "trendy" although it is also an old name.

My preference would be Rory.

Both are great names, pick the one that goes best with your surname.

I'd be worried incase the child can't pronounce his 'Rs' (like Jonathan Ross) so he'd be 'Wor-wy'. But what are the chances of that I suppose.

I don't like Jasper, it's too cartoony.

I really don’t like Jasper - but I know I’m in the minority as it seems so popular on here!

Jasper sounds cute and a bit quirky, perhaps posh.
Rory is only posh and a bit of an old school boy (in my opinion/experience of those with those names!)

I prefer Rory, it's a good solid Irish or Scottish name. I don't hate Jasper but back in my day it would have been considered cringingly posh, unless you were at Eton or something.
