Nina or Nora?

Middle name Jean

I know about the possible Norma Jean association but not sure it will be too relevant or even thought about to her / her peers!

Prefer Nina but both are kind of old especially with the Jean middle name.
Nora is also short form for Eleanor (which I like) but if people assume she’s an Eleanor and she is spending her whole life correcting them that could get annoying

ClaudiaWinklepanda · 10/05/2024 15:29

I think Nora is one of those names you need to be very beautiful/striking/charismatic to carry off.

Mandarinaduck · 10/05/2024 15:30

I prefer Nina but it doesnt go well with Jean.

Moreteaandchocolate · 10/05/2024 15:31

Nina is gorgeous :) Nora is nice, just possibly very slightly too “old lady” for me.

SquigglePigs · 10/05/2024 15:32

I think Nina is the nicer of the two.

Abracadabra12 · 10/05/2024 15:45

What about Nola Jean?

bumblebubble23 · 10/05/2024 15:47

My daughters called Nola, beautiful as the middle name I love Nina tho too

bumblebubble23 · 10/05/2024 15:48

Was suppose to say beau as the middle name autocorrect lol

LauderSyme · 10/05/2024 15:49

I prefer Nora Jean to Nina Jean but tbh am sorry to say I don't particularly like either. Would you consider spelling it Norah? I prefer that somehow.

NameDecision91 · 10/05/2024 15:49

I love the name Nina :)

Redlarge · 10/05/2024 15:55

Not the question but i adore the name jean for male and female

Huskyfat · 10/05/2024 16:18

Nora or Norah is gorgeous

PinedApple · 10/05/2024 16:19

I know a Ninorah nn Nino which I quite like!

bloodyeffinnora · 10/05/2024 16:20

like Nina, hate Nora ( as you can tell from username) love Nola.

jackstini · 10/05/2024 16:25

I prefer Nina but it doesn't go that well with Jean

How about Nadia or Naomi?

Hobbesmanc · 10/05/2024 16:31

Nora is fab. I prefer the Norah spelling but it's a great name. Jean (or Joan) are great sturdy ageless names. Very Enid Blyton.

Lakelandmumofthree · 10/05/2024 16:35

I know a Nina and she's vile so struggling with it! Really like Orla which is similar to Nora but more modern, means Golden Princess.

BePinkPombear · 10/05/2024 17:37

going against the grain cos I think Nina Jean sounds really nice!

AM1994 · 10/05/2024 17:39

Nina for sure, lovely name. Nora always makes me think of norovirus (may just be me that thinks that)

Kitkat1523 · 10/05/2024 17:41

Nina ….definitely not nora

SpringKitten · 10/05/2024 17:42

Nora is a boring name. Nina is nice. I LOVE Nola, so pretty.

TallYellowMouse · 10/05/2024 17:43

I love Nina! Sadly i forgot about it when naming my daughters. Middle names don't need to go together imo. They are rarely said together. Choose the name you like best!

MotherOfCrocodiles · 10/05/2024 17:44

Now

MotherOfCrocodiles · 10/05/2024 17:45

Noa I mean!! Is a nice alternative

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 10/05/2024 19:22

I love Nina but Nora is awful. I really don’t get the hype. It’s not even cool old fashioned it’s just frumpy and dowdy. However my opinion is neither here nor there. If you’re wanting it to go with Jean I’d say go with Nora.
