Well it's Naomi, the girls name. So it's spelled as it sounds. This isn't spelled as it sounds if it rhymes with Naomi. I think it will be mis-heard as Jamie constantly which will annoy them. Also every person reading their name for the first time will balk at it and either get it wrong or ask how to pronounce it, which will get old for them very fast!

If you mean Naomi, there's at least 3 different pronunciations of it so it doesn't make it any clearer.
