What do you think? I heard this name recently and loved it.

I couldn't even guess how to pronounce that

Pigwidgeon99 · 02/05/2024 19:45

How is it pronounced?

Dartmoorcheffy · 02/05/2024 19:45

No.just no.

MinervaMcGonagallsCat · 02/05/2024 19:45

Also unsure if it's for a girl or boy

kokomo92 · 02/05/2024 19:46

For a girl - like Naiomi.

No.

BoohooWoohoo · 02/05/2024 19:47

Are you the Jimberley poster?

Pigwidgeon99 · 02/05/2024 19:48

Well it's Naomi, the girls name. So it's spelled as it sounds. This isn't spelled as it sounds if it rhymes with Naomi. I think it will be mis-heard as Jamie constantly which will annoy them. Also every person reading their name for the first time will balk at it and either get it wrong or ask how to pronounce it, which will get old for them very fast!

For a girl - like Naiomi.

Do you mean Naomi?

So the name you mentioned would be Jaomi. Still awful, but at least some people would be able to have a stab at pronouncing it. Though a lot would give up and settle for Jamie.

For a girl - like Naiomi.

If you mean Naomi, there's at least 3 different pronunciations of it so it doesn't make it any clearer.

eileandubh · 02/05/2024 19:55

So... Jay-oh-mi?

Don't tell me, your dad's called Jason and you want to honour him etc, etc.

amylou8 · 02/05/2024 19:57

Have you considered
Jiffany
Jabigail or
Jharlotte

Beatrixslobber · 02/05/2024 19:58

It’s awful.
Here’s some others
Jeverly
Jelen
Jarol
Jisa
Jally
Jara
Jalexandria
Jarie
jeatrix

ClairemacL · 02/05/2024 20:00

I hope this poster isn’t from another culture and is now inadvertently being mocked?

ItsAllMadness24 · 02/05/2024 20:00

How about Jimberly?

MyLovelyPurse · 02/05/2024 20:07

great! Have you also considered:
Java
Jophia
Jamelia
Jarry
Jeorghe

Or other random girls’ (or boys’) names with a J added at the beginning. It’s so important to be Junique!

I know this because I have decided to be unique and edgy by having tattoos and lip fillers. I’m a rebel, me.

takemeawayagain · 02/05/2024 20:09

Only reference to Jaiomi I can find by googling is some random on Insta who looks like she is desperate to either be a footballers wife or on Love Island.

NewName24 · 02/05/2024 20:10

Just no.

Growlybear83 · 02/05/2024 20:40

I think it's a ridiculous name. How could you consider saddling your child with that?

Jimberly · 02/05/2024 20:50

It’s better than jimberly

shepherdsangeldelight · 02/05/2024 20:55

They will spend their entire time explaing that their name is not "Jamie".

JimPansy · 02/05/2024 20:55

Joilivia, Joiffia and Jaila are better.

MrsMagoooo · 02/05/2024 20:59

That name is a Tragedeigh.

JimPansy · 02/05/2024 21:01

Why don't you use the more elegant Jigheaumeigh spelling, @kokomo92

ThursdayTomorrow · 02/05/2024 21:03

No. Just no.
