Originally going to be called Jim after my granddad, but we've found out we're having a girl. Would this work?

This thread is hilarious! But there is a lady locally called Jimelle which is possibly the best you could hope for if you are genuinely considering incorporating Jim into your daughter's name!

There are many girls out there with the name Jaime. FFS, use Jaime as a name, so your poor little girl can have a normal life without having to correct people every single day.
