Thoughts on the name Crusoe

I’ve recently come across the name Crusoe and I really like it especially with the nickname Crue for a boy. Whenever I mention it to anyone they think it’s a bit weird so I was wondering what everyone on here thought of it?

I know a baby boy called Crue. I thought it was weird at first but now I have got used to it and think it's fine. It's just his name and is no odder than many others.

I reckon Crusoe would be the same.

Woody Allen and Mia Farrow famously called their son Satchel in 1987. I expect this boy's mother thought it would be a good idea to copy them. I've never understood why people copy celebrity/TV show names, it's so cringe and unoriginal.

Satchel has been known as Ronan Farrow for years, and is a well-regarded journalist. He was one of the first people to investigate Harvey Weinstein.

Didn't know that. Fair play to him. Really not surprised he changed his name (or possibly used a middle name?). A bit like Zowie Bowie became Duncan.
