'Celtic or historical' is a bit vague -- the Celts covered quite a wide range of territory, so you could choose pretty much any of these territories, and any historical period since the 6thc BC!

I like sea names! Dylan is a traditional Welsh name that means son of the sea. Kai (Irish name I think) has an alternative Hawaiian meaning of "the sea" . Neither are too out there names wise. Rafferty means high tide, Morgan similar and Murphy warrior from the sea.

Of those suggested, these are the ones the give that vibe to me.

Sort of cool, surfer type names in my opinion.

Kai means ocean in Japanese and has quite a surf dude vibe.

Haha sorry I should have clarified, anything from the UK Celtic nations (heritage links for us) so Wales, Ireland, Scotland and even Cornwall, and with the historical bit just any cool or inspiring names of historical figures in general, not just Celtic history although that's a plus.

Murphy / Murdoch (celtic - sea warrior)

Murray (from Scottish Moray, settlement by the sea)
Morgan (Celtic, by the sea)

Classical names might tick your boxes- definitely real names, historical links and conjure up sun and the ocean (albeit in a "conquering the world" way rather than a "bucket and spade" way)- Alexander, Jason, Lysander etc.
