Martha or Maria?

I'm trying to decide between the two.

Both lovely

For what it's worth, I prefer Maria.

Depends on where you live - Marfa doesn't sound good. Both are nice.

I'm surprised these are your options as theyre so different! For me, Martha is a bit alternative and arty, whereas Maria is traditional. If someone referred to a Maria they know I would guess she was at least 40 years old

I really like Martha - it’s classic but with a modern, boho sort of twist, imo. Maria is also a good name, but I think Martha has the edge, personally.

Martha. Pronounced Mar-tha. Maria seems dated to me.

Maria - an international classic

Martha makes me think of the handmaids tale..

Maria- no contest for me. While Maria's not a particular fave of mine, it sounds quite elegant to me and is very timeless and classic (so suits all ages) but has cute, trendier nn’s like Mia or Mai if wanted. Martha goes in and out of fashion and I personally find it quite frumpy sounding.
