How would you pronounce Violet. I say Vi O Let but have lots of friends saying Vi Let

VI uh let. Emphasis on the first syllable, exactly as the flower and the last colour in the rainbow.

I meant to add, I dislike it as a name though. Looks like Violent.

I like the name but if it bothers you today others will say it differently to you, then I wouldn't choose it.

Otoh, by the time she's a teen she'll be Vi to everyone I expect.
