Hello!

I am looking for baby boy names that are 1 or 2 syllables. I would like names that are rare, uncommon or underused! They don’t have to be completely unheard of though.

I really like Emil, Orson and Rue but I can’t use those. I like Evren, Holland and Soren too. Quite like German / Scandi /French names.

would be great to have a nice meaning too.

any ideas? I feel a bit stuck with boys names, I had a few girl ones but we are definitely having a boy 💙

thank you for any suggestions!

We wanted the same, something uncommon but not too out there so we called our little boy Cooper

@Rosiiee You’ve never heard of Odin? He’s the Norse god of war and death and is very well known, it would be a bit like naming your child Thor or Zeus

Absolutely don’t name a boy Odin!

It would be like naming a girl Kali

Another vote for not Odin. It’s not a nice name for a child. I met one the other week and it felt very odd, I don’t like the thought of a kid being the god of war and death..

I came across Odin the other day. I really like it! It’s the name of a Viking or something I think.

Yeah he’s pretty famous..

You can’t call your kid Odin!

Pacifybull · 06/03/2024 12:12

Stellan? It’s a male Scandinavian name.

Cyril

We had a lovely family relation called Cyril. Tall and handsome in his youth, elegant in old age, very unusual name these days- but hard to think of anyone under 90 with this name.
