I’m down to three names from a very long list!

From these three which would you pick? Also would welcome any middle name suggestions thanks 😊

Alice is my all time favourite girls name (and my dd’s name). It’s a true classic and proven to date well, but still considered cool by my 12 year old - she says she’s very glad I chose Alice as her name!

Sophia is lovely but more ā€œof the momentā€ than Alice, with a big recent increase in popularity, if that matters to you?

Grace is also nice but again quite popular at the moment. I considered Grace for my second dd but glad I didn’t use it as she’s not at all graceful!

Grace I think, it’s the least overused

Grace Sophia ?

Sophia is really done to death as a first name.

clpsmum · 08/02/2024 23:38

Alice Grace is beautiful

Noodleface99 · 08/02/2024 23:39

i feel like everyone is called Sophia atm, I think it’s been the top girl name for the past 3 years hasn’t it?

Grace is also very very popular

Alice is nice

GodspeedJune · 08/02/2024 23:43

All lovely names, I slightly prefer Grace and Alice.

NuffSaidSam · 08/02/2024 23:44

Alice is best.

Grace second place.

Not Sophia.

BoleynMemories13 · 09/02/2024 06:37

Alice is my personal favourite but I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. If you love all 3 I'd wait and see which one suits her best when she's born.

Alice. Sophia/Sofia is overused. Grace is ok but is a lot to live up to and doesn't sound nice in all accents.

Strawberrycheesecake7 · 09/02/2024 07:10

Alys is one of my favourite names and I’ll almost definitely use it if I ever have a daughter. I like it spelled Alys because I’m Welsh but Alice is lovely as well. Grace as Sophia are both nice names but a bit overused, especially Sophia.

Chocolatepringles · 09/02/2024 07:13

I'm really not keen on the name Alice. Grace and Sophia are lovely. As others have said, Sophia has become very common.

I'd definitely go for Grace.

DuchessOfSausage · 09/02/2024 07:39

I'm not keen on the Alys spelling. I think it only works if you are Welsh-speakers, but the old welshified spelling was Alis.

Whiteandgreen6 · 09/02/2024 07:44

Sophia is a trend name and viewed as a very working class name. I wouldn’t choose it as a name as I work in a sector where being viewed as working class would seriously disadvantage a potential employee.

Alice is my favourite.

Copperoliverbear · 09/02/2024 07:50

I prefer it as Gracie
Gracie - Mae

ZenNudist · 09/02/2024 07:52

You cannot go wrong with any. Go with your own heart in this. Grace was my girls name but I had a boy.

Firsttimebabymama · 09/02/2024 08:24

Grace is my favourite from your list

DesertSnow · 09/02/2024 08:44

All lovely names. Maybe wait till she's born and see which suits her?

user1492757084 · 09/02/2024 09:17

Grace, Alice and Sophia are all sweet.

BeaLola · 09/02/2024 09:19

Alice Grace - perfect

idontlikealdi · 09/02/2024 09:21

Alice Grace, but I'm biased!

Broodywuz · 09/02/2024 09:31

All lovely names.
Alice, Grace, Sophia in that order are my favourite, I feel Sophia is very popular now. I also like Sophie.
I think Jane, May or Rose would be lovely middle names with any of these names.
If you go with Sophia as a 1st name, either of the others could be middle names
Sophia Alice
Sophia Grace
Alice Sophia
Grace Sophia

Alice Grace or Grace Alice - I don't think these go as a combo, too much 'ss' at the end

Sarah2891 · 09/02/2024 09:40

Sophia is the nicest one to me

DuchessOfSausage · 09/02/2024 09:40

Sophia is a trend name and viewed as a very working class name. - the ones I know are middle class and the parents wanted a name that would work internationally.
Gracie-Mae is awful.
Alice Grace or Grace Alice - I don't think these go as a combo, too much 'ss' at the end I agree. Too hissy.
