They are all nice. I like Clara Yasmina

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 21/03/2008 11:01

Thanks! I like them both ending in 'a' but it isn't going to be a hyphenated double name so I don't think it matters so much!

Not keen on Ada at all. Clara is OK. All the Arabic names are nice, especially Naima. Very pretty.

hatwoman · 21/03/2008 11:02

hatwoman · 21/03/2008 11:04

Farah?

pointedegg · 21/03/2008 11:04

Doesn't Leila have some arabic origin? Nice name.

I called my daughter Leila Grace as she is half Jordanian. Leila means Night Beauty in Arabic according to my DH who speaks arabic.

We also considered calling her Samira, Yasmin, Hania, or Bethana (sp) Bethany.

TwoFirTreesToday · 21/03/2008 17:38

Love Ada its a great name, much underated! Can also be spelt Adah. I like Ada/h Yasmina or Yasmin best. Soraya is also lovely, what about Ada Soraya

LittleMissBliss · 21/03/2008 17:54

Thanks everyone! There are some lovely names here. I'm only on first draft so I'll write these all down and think about it! My DH is Moroccan and has some nice girls names in mind but the boys names are all awful!

My Daughter is Layla Mai (both arabic and english) nieces are Safia and Zara.
Grew up in Middle east and love the names. At least most cross over too.
Good luck and enjoy.
