Lara, Cassia or something else

Expecting a baby girl next month, love Lara as a name and Cassia is also up there, but not 100% sure.

DH isn't sold on Lara as he can't imagine a blonde Lara - we are both blonde with blonde parents the likelihood of a blonde baby is very high!
Sierra makes him think of a car
Anna is bland in his mind

The others he's just not sold on - so any ideas?

Not keen on India, I think it’s weird to be named after a country and it always makes me wonder if that’s where the baby was conceived which isn’t something I want to wonder about when I meet someone.

It’s SO mych easier when you see the abby and can think “Nah she doesn’t like like a Lara” or whatever

I can see you like ‘ia’ names so just some food for thought…

I love Lara and know a blonde Lara so associate with blondes! Anna is a brilliant name. Zara and Cassia are quite nice. I’m not keen on Sierra or India (a car and a country!)

I think Cassia is likely to be mispronounced. My instinct would be to say Cassie-uh but I've heard it said Kasha as well. Cassandra might be an alternative.

Lara is fine as long as you're OK with the Croft association. The worst that's likely to happen is people call her Laura - but that can be said for a lot of names that are similar to other names.

I think lara but some people really struggle with pronouncing it.

Cassie instead of Cassia?

I know two, one blonde and one brunette. I’ve never really associated it with a particular hair colour, though there are other names I do.

I’ve never heard of anyone struggling to pronounce Lara - it’s perfectly phonetic

I love Lara, it's one of my favourite names. I don't get the hair colour thing? Why would a Lara have a particular colour hair? I know three and they're all blonde but that doesn't mean I can't imagine a brunette one.
