Stuck between these 2 names for our baby boy due in April!
We like them both, but currently I’m team Henry and husband is team Theo.. which is your favourite? 🥰

Henry is the best.

I like Theo but not Theodore but prefer Henry.

Whosthatgirll · 12/01/2024 21:15

Like both but prefer Henry

Henry. This is my DS' name. We get a lot of compliments.

wasanneofcleves · 12/01/2024 21:19

They are both fine. Very popular, very safe. Either would be fine and I'm sure no-one would think twice about either of them. Very much a Joe or Tom or John of 2024.

Yes agree with this. I’d go Henry though as it feels less faddy

Onelife2024 · 12/01/2024 21:24

Love both - I think I’d choose Henry

FayCarew · 12/01/2024 22:15

Henry

OopsieeDaisy · 12/01/2024 22:35

Both are nice but I prefer Henry.

theduchessofspork · 12/01/2024 23:07

Henry

It’s consistently very popular but right now there are SO MANY Theos and Theodores.

sunflowerpinks · 12/01/2024 23:11

Hopefully you have a less common surname! Both Henry/Harry and Theo are sooo widely used.

FayCarew · 12/01/2024 23:19

Theo is a bit lispy. Henry is a classic. Both are very popular.
Avoid using a filler middle name or he could be one of two with the same full name.

GenXisthebest · 12/01/2024 23:19

Henry

NachosAndCheese · 13/01/2024 00:42

Theo. I love it.

user1492757084 · 13/01/2024 03:15

Both are nice.
Others, less popular ..
Henrico
Thaddeus - Tad
Toby

peaceinourtime · 13/01/2024 03:24

Neither really they both are so common. Of the two Henry

MariaVT65 · 13/01/2024 03:31

Henry, because there are so many Theos about!

Elisabeth3468 · 13/01/2024 12:50

My two year old is a Henry. Never once regretted his name. I love it. It's a classic name and not as popular Harry so that's nice. Theo is very very popular but I don't mind the name but would never have chosen it myself.

Toby is extremely popular! I know about 5 baby /toddler Tobys

FayCarew · 13/01/2024 12:54

@Elisabeth3468 , it's not that popular generally, but might have had a bit of a spurt, or might just be very popular in your area.

NeptunaOfTheMermaidBattleSquadron · 13/01/2024 12:56

I love Henry! Reminds me of Henry Cavill.
Theo is also nice though because the traditional shortening is Ted/Teddy (which is so much nicer than calling them Teddy as their whole name, IMO)

PumpkinsAndCoconuts · 13/01/2024 13:28

I prefer Theodore but feel like it might date.

itsannie86 · 16/01/2024 12:18

Where I live, we refer to the really annoying psuedo-poshos as "Hoo Ha Henrys" and for this reason I associate it with the most annoying type of people.

Theo is gorgeous!

MrsPositivity1 · 16/01/2024 12:19

Weirdly I find Theo hard to say. I love Henry

Where do you live?

FayCarew · 28/08/2024 16:36

OP's baby will have been named months ago. Hooray Henry - Wikipedia.
I've only heard people say Hurrah Henry.
I wouldn't let it put me off the name.
