What do we think of Elle?

Big sister is Anna, so would be Anna and Elle - is this a bit too Frozen?? 😬

Other names we thought of include Eva, Julia, Cora... also as a bit of a wildcard, Alexis?

Open to suggestions too, but I do really like Elle I think so would appreciate opinions on that as well.

Please don’t. There are so many Ellies and Ellas and Elle is the same only duller.
Eva is nice but again, soo many.

Julia is lovely. Pretty and classic.

I like Sasha and I think it goes well with Anna.

Elle just means she. It's a nothing name. Eleanor is great, and can have Elle as a nickname. But Elle, Ella, Ellie, (even Belle) all blur into one.

Far too many Ellas and Ellies, and as a full name it’s a bit Disney. If you do go with it I’d make it short for Elizabeth/ Eloise/Eleanor etc

Julia goes really beautifully with Anna, and I quite like Alexis

Eva is very nice but way overdone with Eve, Evie and Ava

Not a fan of Elle. I saw a video recently about a little girl who changed her name because she didn’t have a name, she just had a letter (L) so cute but I see her point!
I like Cora and Julia is due a come back I think

I do often think Elle could as well be "L". I think Ellie and Ella are pretty and I don't know of any girls with those names in our school classes.

Elle is a bit sharp to go with Anna. I think you need to keep the vowel sound like Ellie (which is only 61 in top 100) or Ella (which is more popular but still not top 10)

The name Elle doesn't sound complete. I would assume that you've just shortened their name.

I never know whether to pronounce it El or Ellie?

Ellle/ Ellie/ Eva/ Evie etc are super popular where we live and sound a bit meh to me so I'd not choose it on that basis.

I really like Julia, Cora and Alexis though! I'd pick Alexis as it sounds fab with Anna.

I immediately think of Elle Woods, not a bad connotation. So yeah, it’s okay.

I don't see it as the letter "L" as another poster mentioned.
When I hear a name I visualise the spelling of it in my head, and see Elle.
I've never actually met an Elle. Lots of Ellies and Ellas, but Elle sounds more sophisticated somehow and would work well as she goes through every age group.

I've never known it pronounced like Ellie.
It's like the ending of Gabrielle or Michelle.

It looks unfinished, and I'd hear it as L. She'll be Ellie, which is overused and meh.

Surely Elle is always pronounced El, it's French for she.

It didn’t make me think of Frozen until you said. The pronunciation of Anna is different and it’s a longer El sound than in Elsa (at least it is in my accent) so maybe sisters called Anna & Elsie/Ellie would be more easily linked to the movie.

if you love it, you should go for it. There’s nothing objectively wrong with the name. It sounds perfectly fine with Anna and, even if it doesn’t, it doesn’t have to ‘go’ anyway.

All the other names on your list are far better. Alexis is interesting in a good way.

Well no, but it doesn't mean "she" in English. Lots of names have different meanings in different languages.

Hopefully she won't ever move to a French speaking country!

I like it, but I would give her a longer name and use Elle as the shortening personally. Eg Eleanor, elodie, Eloise, Ellen, elena? Or even something like Gabrielle.
