Any thoughts on these names?

I really like Mairead, however no Irish roots so not sure.
Mary- I think it's very elegant and timeless.
Kaitlyn- I know it would get misspelled though.
Carys.
Brontë - again misspelling/mispronunciation risks.

Boys- find this a lot more difficult.

Alistair
Tobias

Dead chuffed that Alastair / Alistair / Alasdair is having a bit of a moment. I have an Alastair (is in his 20s) and have always absolutely loved his name.

From your girls' names, Carys is my favourite. Mary is also nice.

Boys' names - they're all respectable type names. I think i like Francis the best.

None of the boy names are awful.

Isn't Mairead (sorry I can't do the fada thing), a version of Mary? I could be wrong about that. If true though, your idea would be to call her essentially Mary Mary?

I like Mary and it's due a comeback. Caitlin is nice, but not with a K. Also like Carys.

I like Joshua best from your boy names. It's nice, although it's been well used over the last few decades.

I'd say Mary and Joshua overall.
